AFFAMÉS D’HISTOIRE?

Le 160, rue Saint-Paul s’est toujours avéré un lieu où les ingrédients et le service de qualité supérieurs font la loi. Fondé en 1860 par Narcisse Rioux, le magasin général Chez Rioux & Pettigrew fournissait aux restaurateurs, aux épiciers, aux hôpitaux et aux communautés religieuses une grande variété de produits locaux ou d’importation.

Barils de mélasse, poches de farine, sucre, gruau, fruits et légumes en conserves, épices, noix, raisins secs, chocolat, bonbons présentés sur des étalages… On y trouvait même de l’alcool jusqu’à la création de la Commission des liqueurs en 1921!

A warm & inviting atmosphere with an exceptional team of hosts. The food was outstanding & the wine was just as excellent. Rioux came recommended by our Air BNB hosts as well as an article we had read. It lived up to all the praise. Would recommend & would visit again given the opportunity. Thanks!

Expérience avec des amies tout à fait exceptionnelle. Le menu dégustation avec l'accord vin a été un franc succès apprécié de tous!
Je le recommande vivement. Peut-être pas à la portée de toutes les bourses mais il faut se gâter de temps en temps. Vive la bouffe!

Très bon service, amical, serviable. Petit déjeuner savoureux qui nous sort de l'ordinaire des oeufs, bacon & petites patates grillées! Pain doré excellent, ça goûte chez nous! bouffe réconfortante! allez-y sans hésiter!

Very impressed with the general quality of the food. The restaurant was recommended by our hotel as one of the best in Quebec City, & it certainly lived up to the hype. The only small issue was how long it took for the food to be served, nearly an hour between us sitting down & the first course reaching the table.

Black pudding was one of the best meals I have EVER gotten at any restaurant (& I have been to a lot). My boyfriend got the bison steak & it was amazing. The chocolate/olive dessert didn't sound like it was our kind of dessert at all but I was surprised at how DELICIOUS that & everything was. Our server receommended all our drinks & meals & nailed it! DEFINITELY TRY THIS PLACE OUT!! Very nice atmosphere for date night as well :)

Incredibly innovative dishes using an abundance of fresh ingredients at very reasonable prices. Great service from a gentleman who was able to describe all components of each dish. Sitting on a window sill was wonderful.
