About

Food & atmosphere was excellent. Couple shared 4 dishes which was perfect portions. Wait time at the end was lengthy. Overall, great restaurant to visit in Quebec City.

Great food! Very tasty. Quite expensive, but worth the money! For me & my mom, we don't eat much usually, & it was perfect portion for us. Left full with 3 plates. All 3 plates were so delicious & work of arts. We had pasta, octopus, & bison steak with non-alcohol fruity drinks. Very satisfied & highly recommend.

My wife, daughter & I arrived for our 8:30pm reservation & seated along with two other groups who reserved at the same time. Our waiter was friendly, personable, & passionate about the food being served. To say the food here was delicious is an understatement. We ordered 9 of 12 dishes from their seasonal menu & everything was excellent!! The chef & his team know their flavours & how to coax the best from all the local ingredients they use in every dish. Each course was well-thought out-prepared & layered with complex flavours. It's rare that you find a place where every dish is both unique & tasty. The two other tables seated at the same time, were also in agreement. A foodie from Toronto said..." the food in Toronto is not as good as this!" I said, ..." unfortunately I will have to agree with you... the food in Vancouver is not as good as this (generally speaking). My wife & daughter who are not octopus nor beef tartare eaters, they loved those dishes- a surprise for me. I said I would come back tomorrow to order several dishes all over again, if only they were open for lunch! As I write this, I would easily reorder the: scallops n smoked clams tartare, octopus, amazing homemade pasta with perfect poached egg & carmalized goat cheese, & their smoky layered black pudding, although every dish we had was good. The tasting dishes are still very substantial & certainly worth more than what one is paying here compared to other fine dining places & I think they need to charge more for the time, energy, & detail that goes into every dish!
One needs to make a reservation , the waiter said they turned away so many requests that day because they are a small restaurant.
We loved the rustic laid back decor & the non-nouvelle -pretenciousness of other places without true substance nor the heart. of Chez Rioux & Pettigrew.
I give CRP a big satisfying recommend, we will return again, from Vancouve
