AFFAMÉS D’HISTOIRE?

Le 160, rue Saint-Paul s’est toujours avéré un lieu où les ingrédients et le service de qualité supérieurs font la loi. Fondé en 1860 par Narcisse Rioux, le magasin général Chez Rioux & Pettigrew fournissait aux restaurateurs, aux épiciers, aux hôpitaux et aux communautés religieuses une grande variété de produits locaux ou d’importation.

Barils de mélasse, poches de farine, sucre, gruau, fruits et légumes en conserves, épices, noix, raisins secs, chocolat, bonbons présentés sur des étalages… On y trouvait même de l’alcool jusqu’à la création de la Commission des liqueurs en 1921!

5 étoiles sur toute la ligne: brunch original & généreux, ambiance enveloppante, service aux petits soins jusqu'aux couvertures chauffantes pour les tables près des fenêtres. J'ai hâte de retourner!

Came here at the last night of our long weekend visiting the city to celebrate an anniversary, left immensely satisfied! We did the 4 course tasting menu & were delighted to both try foods we had never eaten before & be pleasantly surprised when some dishes included foods we already know we love. I enjoyed how each dish at least tonight had one ingredient in common between them which tied things together. The portions were perfect, staff all very welcoming & friendly, timing between dishes was just right. Very warm atmosphere. Could not say enough good things about this restaurant.

Great food, but the seating could use some attention. My wife was seated on a bench where some pillows were in the way, & there was a flimsy divider between her & another couple which kept getting bumped.

Personnel très sympathique & un service irréprochable.
Ambiance très conviviale, très chaleureux comme endroit.
Beau menu, belle présentation, nourriture excellente.
