I chose this restaurant based on some recommendations from a Quebec city travel Facebook page. We had reservations for 8 PM & it's just so happened that a thunderstorm was happening at the same time so we had some fun walking to the restaurant in the rain. The restaurant was very full when we arrived. We both started out each with a glass of wine. I wanted to try the turnip & maple soup to start & I thought it was good. My partner doesn't care for turnips, but I do. I had the veal
Medallions with rosemary, roasted small potatoes, asparagus, & carrots. It was cooked to perfection & tasted excellent! My partner had the shrimp & pepper risotto & he thought it was good. We passed on dessert because we were both full from the dinner.
We were thoroughly impressed with the service, atmosphere & most of all the food. The staff were attentive & friendly. & we could not stop complimenting the food (I don't remember the last time I said'mmm' so much without even thinking about it). I had the turnip & maple soup, & the beef Bourguignon & my mom had the steak. Even the veggie sides were amazing the carrots were delicious, the asparagus was perfectly cooked & the sauces/gravies were so delicious. Oh & don't get me started on the mashed potatoes. We were so full we couldn't even think about dessert. We have decided to go back again before we leave (& we only have two more dinners to go). Thank you to the chef & the rest of the amazing staff for the great meal.
C'est la 5em fois que l'on viens vous voir, le service est parfait, le souper très bien , nous avons pris la table d'hôte, le seul bémol, la bûche en dessert, trop sucré à notre goût. Merci pour votre accueil & votre professionnalisme
Le service, l'accueil & l'ambiance bien au dessus de la moyenne. Le nourriture très bien pour l'entrée, la soupe & le vin. Le plat principal correct & le dessert assez ordinaire.
J'ai adoré le service & la nourriture mais surtout le dessert "choix de chef" c'était très délicieux (c'était un gateau au chocolat moux & il contenait de la marmelade de poire)
Lundi soir , ravis de notre soirée, & nous réitèrerons notre visite. Ambiance, personnel très agréable, bel accueil, plus sympa que le Continental trop ampoulé, un souper gastro & incontournable conseillé par notre serveuse pour un dessert qui n'était pas sur la carte à tomber par terre.
Imagine sitting in a beautifully elegant restaurant, next to an open air window, when you see a horse & carriage passing by. It could not have been more perfect! The food was incredible & the dessert was delicious.
Our dinner at Conti absolutely exceeded our expectations. Our server Emeralda was wonderful; friendly & attentive. We shared the Chef's Antipasto platter, which came out looking beautiful. No crumb was left behind. For our mains we had a lobster risotto, penne, ravioli & a burger. The risotto came with a good amount of lobster, topped with a beautiful piece of filet mignon. The penne had a nice homestyle tomato sauce & fluffy meatballs. The burger was so good that the ketchup didn't even get used! & finally the chef's ravioli with chanterelles that were full of flavour & great amount of mushrooms. There was no room left for dessert after we finished our mains. Highly recommended by our family!
Came here for lobster but the food came out looked like a salad roll. Service was decent. The restaurant was bot busy at all & now i know why. The food was not good compared to the price, the only thing i recommend is the dessert & that's all. Overall the experience was bad i wouldn't recommend this restaurant!
Very welcoming...we enjoyed a table by an open window, a delicious meal served by very friendly & professional staff! Would definitely recommend! Save room for dessert...
