Good atmosphere but food is just ordinary. We came here because the place had many reviews & we were curious to try out a popular Asian restaurant in Quebec City. However, if you're used to Asian food, this place will be a disappointment. In terms of izakaya, it really isn't anything special & probably only popular due to the lack of other Japanese restaurants. If you're a tourist intrigued by the popularity of a Japanese restaurant in this city, then I would skip it.

Ce fut une expérience incroyable sur toute la ligne, nous avons demandé au serveur de nous apportez des plats sans regarder le menu & tout était bien exécuté ! Le tout pour un prix très honnête ! Réservez les yeux fermé!

Very unique menu items that you won't find elsewhere - this isn't necessarily a good thing as it borderlines experimental & Japanese cuisine is normally straight forward & simple. However the biggest issue is how noisy it is. You will struggle to have a normal conversation & when we went, there were two groups of people shouting, laughing & slamming the table throughout the night. It's of course out of the control of the restaurant & it doesn't help that the place is very small. If you're looking for a romantic night, look elsewhere!

Le Hono a su se tailler une place dans mon top 3 des meilleurs restaurants à Québec. On y mange excessivement bien. Dans les seuls de la région à avoir du vin du Domaine Les Pervenches. Le service est toujours sur la coche & l'ambiance parfaite. Un restaurant qu'on ne se tanne jamais d'y retourner encore & encore.
