The cuisine is centered around sharing, focused on seafood and comprised of small dishes, but not neglecting fine cuts of meat and seasonal products. To fully experience it, take the time to savor one of our enticing seafood towers.
The cocktail menu, themed around travel, offers you around twenty original cocktails, both with and without alcohol, as well as many elegantly executed classics. The wine cellar hosts both classic fine wines and little treasures in nature. The bar shelves are home to the finest available spirits.

While it is a popular spot that can become busy, the overall quality, stylish decor, and meticulous attention to detail make it a highly recommended destination for both locals and travelers seeking a special dining experience.
We had a great experience there! The concept with ringing the bell was mysterious! :) We absolutely loved the oysters, the octopus, the ceviche, the tataki & of course the selection of champagne! We recommend it for any occasions worth celebrating haha! Thank you Francis for the great service!
Had a lovely dinner here, delicious oysters, shrimp, pasta & asparagus salad. Nice cocktail menu & wines. Impeccable service. It is hard to find - the entrance is in the back, no signage out front. Highly recommend, it's outside of the old town tourist business, a short 15 min walk into Saint Roch neighbourhood.
Wonderful experience - the food was delicious & the service is top notch! Oysters were super fresh, foie gras & whole fried fish - an amazing meal with a GREAT cocktail menu - snaps to the bar staff! Would RUN back there!
Went here for a date & made reservations for 9 p.m. as I heard they get fairly busy. It is located in a sort of sketchy area as you do have to walk down an alley to get here. Since it is a speak easy it is a very discreet door you need to find. Once inside you are transported into a very cool, dim, busy atmosphere. There are booths & tables at the front but I sat in the back room which is much more intimate & quiet. Service was great & informative. Ordered a few cocktails (which are very creative & tasty.) Ordered a seafood platter which had a variety of items (tartare, sashimi, & oysters), great if you want to try different things & don't know what to get. The oysters were so good we ordered more separately. Also tried the mushroom dish (Mushroom 5 ways) but it was a littler underwhelming & I woudn't get again. Overall a really nice place for a date & good seafood. I would definitely recommend if you are in Montreal.
Excellent meal at Jjacques tonight, speakeasy restaurant / bar. Great food, we had the oysters, beef carpaccio, foie gras & lamb. They were all faultless. We also sat by the bar & saw how everyone created our food, definitely made with passion. Great experience & good service from Charles-Antoine. Well done & thanks as we thoroughly enjoyed our evening.
We sat in the banquette section which was very comfortable & intimate. From ringing the doorbell to get in to the end of the evening, this was an incredible experience. We decided to leave the cocktail(s) choosing to our waiter. He chose well! We weren't rushed at all. We made our way through a number of small plates over the course of about 2.5 hours. We had salmon bites, BLT oysters, raw oysters, burrata (amazing), carpaccio, pasta, broccoli, & both desserts. We were in foodie heaven & highly recommend Jjacques.
Wonderful evening! The food was amazing-oysters, beef carpaccio, whole fish & pasta. Every dish was perfect! Cocktails are a must too. Excellent, friendly service. A bit difficult to find, but that's to be expected for a speakeasy! Look for the address & name at the top of the door. Highly recommend!
