I love an elegant speakeasy & this was truly the perfect setting for a Saturday evening with the girls. Did not have any reservations but its highly encouraged if you don't like to wait. So much drinks to choose from, uniquely curated & so on brand for them. Non drinkers can also have a good time. Service is fast & efficient. Staff is very attentive & friendly. Like

Entrée de maigret de canard excellente & assiette de fruits de mer très savoureuse. Les cocktails sont très goûteux & il y en a une vaste gamme.

Certainement mon endroit préféré à Québec! La nourriture est exquise, on y fait de très belles découvertes. Le tataki d'escolar… WOW!!!
Les cocktails, faits méticuleusement, sont aussi vraiment délicieux. J'ai laissé carte blanche au mixologue cette semaine en lui faisant part de mes goûts & j'ai été agréablement surprise par ce qu'il m'a proposé. J'ai découvert mon nouveau cocktail favori!

amazing food, unique & innovative drinks, this speakeasy type of restaurant is one of a kind! it was a little confusing by to find but well worth the it. oysters were super delicious & fresh. fried fish was beautifully fired & still retained optimal moisture, accompanied by a asian inspired sauce. scallops were perfectly cooked & super tender. pasta was perfectly al dente & the filling was rich. veal paired with the creamy tuna topping was a match made in heaven. highly recommend visiting if you're in the area!
Took my fiancée to JJacques for her birthday weekend in Quebec City, & it was fantastic! The whole experience is pretty cool, starting with buzzing at a discrete grey door to get in - kind of felt like a speakeasy. Inside, it's got a great, bustling atmosphere.
We sat at the bar, which was awesome because we got to see all the food, especially those impressive seafood towers, being prepped. We had some of their specialty cocktails - super tasty. Then we went for the triple seafood tower, & man, it was all incredible! Taylor loved the mussels & the lobster with garlic butter. I was all about the scallops & sea bream.
Seriously, JJacques was a highlight. Great food, cool unique spot, & a really fun night. Definitely recommend it if you're in Quebec City!

Bel accueil, design unique avec entre- portes voutées. Beau cachet. Toutefois, j'ai trouvé la table haute inconfortable & beaucoup trop petite ; surtout pour un repas sensé duré 2-3h. La musique d'ambiance était ok.
Pour ce qui est du repas, nous avons pris le caviar baeri avec le plateau de fruits de mer 3 étage! Pour le caviar, évidemment il a accompagné à merveille les bouchées & quelques fruits de mer du plateau.
Par contre, j'ai été extrêmement déçue par la température du plateau ; comme s'il avait été mis trop longtemps sur la glace, les produits & plats étaient pour la plupart congelés & même séchés par la glace (surtout ceux au centre).
Aussi, nous avons dû retourné les crevettes d'argentines car elles étaient pâteuses & leur fraicheur était plus que suspectes. Par respect pour l'établissement je ne les ai pas retourné une 2e fois…. Mais sachez que nous sommes habitués de manger des fruits & vous nous avez fait sentir comme si nous étions dans le tord puisque vous nous avez ramené de la cuisine les dites crevettes! Selon la chef, elles étaient « adéquates ».
Heureusement, j'ai discuté avec d'autres connaissances qui m'ont suggéré de donner une seconde chance & d'essayer les autres plats…. J'aurais quand même aimé que mon opinion soit mieux pris en compte au moment même des faits!
