Le Kebec Club, c'est une étoile Michelin, mais ça aurait très facilement pu en être une deuxième. C'est de la haute gastronomie à son meilleur, dans un contexte des plus conviviaux & avec un lien on ne peut plus direct entre les chefs & l'assiette. Après deux visites, nous avons été absolument éblouis les deux fois. Des menus recherchés, originaux, soignés, un accord mets vins tout à fait réussi. Selon moi c'est probablement un des joyaux de la gastronomie du Québec.
One long table. Everyone sitting together, talking like a family who hasn't seen each other in a year. Every other party that night was from Quebec, & within minutes, we were all introducing each other & sharing stories like old friends. I ended up chatting in my rusty French with a retired general seated next to me & a nice lady who translated & explained what each dish meant to them as Quebecers. I've seen the'communal dining' concept at restaurants like Table in Boston, but this was different. Here, people wanted to talk. Constantly talking & laughing for nearly five hours straight.
The entire restaurant was run solely by the chef-owner & his partner, so dishes came out at an unhurried pace that felt just right for the evening. The menu reimagined true Quebec comfort food. Not the kind served in tourist spots, but the kind people here actually grew up eating. Root vegetables like potatoes, cabbage, & beets anchored most of the plates, paired with local seafood for a refined yet personal expression of home cooking.
What surprised me most was that the menu changes every single day. No repeats. The chef said he plans to rotate completely for six years before the same dishes ever return. Knowing that every course was both its debut & finale made it feel even more special. & despite that constant reinvention, nothing felt improvised. Everything was composed yet quietly soulful.
The experience might depend on who you share the table with, but if you want to feel the genuine warmth of Quebec hospitality (beyond any fine dining formality) this is the place to do it.

Les chefs sont présents du début à la fin, nous guidant à travers un menu dégustation raffiné de 10 à 12 services, mettant en valeur des produits d'ici, préparés avec créativité & précision. Chaque plat est une surprise parfaitement exécutée.
Le tout est accompagné de cocktails & vins locaux parfaitement accordés, & le service est tout simplement impeccable. Mention spéciale pour l'ambiance du début dans le salon lounge, qui amorce la soirée avec douceur.
C'est une expérience culinaire unique à Québec, intime, élégante, humaine. À faire au moins une fois… puis à refaire, sans aucun doute.
