One of the coziest restaurants I have visited. Had a delicious poutine La Buchette & a dish with halibut, shrimp, mussels on a bed of mashed potatoes with a very tasty sauce. Our waitress Gabrielle ( I hope I remembered that right 😄) was outstanding, very attentive & informative with a big bright smile.
I recommend this place hands down.
The servers were attentive, decor was nice, but the wait was long for bad food. We waited an hour & 15 minutes, & at the end of that time we got a pretty dry poutine & a burger with dry, underseasoned fries. Maybe other dishes are better, maybe we were too close to breakfast, but if you can't make a good poutine or burger in a timely manner then it shouldn't be on the menu. It was expensive also. Wish we'd gone somewhere else 😔

The Trout Toast & Casserole for breakfast were amazing. The latte & Americano were wonderful & the wait staff was attentive. We're so glad we chose this place for our breakfast while ported in Quebec City.
Had breakfast on the patio. Servers were very nice & attentive. Classic breakfast plate was unconventional but delicious, & they had discounted mimosas. Would recommend!
We sat outside on Sunday morning to celebrate Father's Day. The experience was overall fairly miserable because the church located 50 feet from the restaurant was ringing its bells for literally 50 minutes. A'song' would end, & everyone would cheer & then another would start again. Like a torture. Super loud, couldn't converse. Waitress had no idea how long it would last, offered no compensation for miserable experience, though it certainly wasn't her fault. She brought an umbrella when the sun got too hot, (super nice of her), the food was OK, maple bacon the standout, service was very friendly & inviting & attentive. Not representative of typical experience but miserable nonetheless.
My wife Fran & I along with our travelling friends went this restaurant for dinner last evening. Our last night in Old Quebec City & we are very happy to have found La Buchette. Our young female waitress was a pleasure & very attentive. Her suggestions were helpful in navigating so many menu choices. Our meals were very good (except the Ribeye steak was grisly) . The carrot cake more than made up for my steak. I have to admit it was the best carrot cake I have ever had. I would highly recommended this restaurant for your dinner plans.
Not a lot of vegetarian options but they were very accommodating for us.
Food was great, we had de vege steak with the summer salad. Summer salad was to die for! Loved the very attentive service, especially from Chris. You deserve your place on the menu my guy! Will come back for sure.
5/5 Stars! We had an absolutely delightful dinner experience at La Buchette! This charming restaurant exceeded our expectations in every way. The atmosphere was warm & inviting, & the staff were incredibly friendly & accommodating - especially with our kid! The menu offered a great selection of French-inspired dishes that catered to both adults & children. The standout dishes for us were the French onion soup (rich, flavorful, & perfectly caramelized) & the cheese fondue ( creamy, indulgent, & utterly addictive). The cocktails were also expertly crafted & delicious! What truly made our evening special, however, was the exceptional service. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, & went above & beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. We can't wait to return to La Buchette & experience it all again! Highly, highly recommend for families, couples, & anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. Merci, La Buchette, for a truly unforgettable evening!"
We had an amazing lunch experience here with the super attentive service staff & delicious food - the Salmon was fantastic. The lunch set menu was also quite fairly priced.
