Delicious food & good service! We had a wonderful meal. I had the grilled octopus. It was one of the best I've ever had. It was incredibly tender. My son had the duck breast. It was delicious! The profiteroles were so good & definitely big enough for sharing. Definitely make a reservation.

Great atmosphere & really good food! We ordered the beef bourguignon & the duck, & both were delicious. The service was great as well. The staff were friendly, enthusiastic, & made the experience even better. We really enjoyed our time here & would definitely recommend checking it out if you're in Quebec City!

We both ordered the duck, & we were asked how we would like it done, with a little pink or well done. We both indicated that well done was our preference. When the duck came, it was very tough, hard to cut & hard to chew. When we complained we were told that that was usual for well done duck. Why wasn't medium an option? Our server told us that she didn't know, but that she would see in future if that could be an option. Other than that the service was excellent & we would highly recommend the place.

We made a reservation for dinner on our last night in Old Quebec from P.R. Once we arrived, they seated us at a table of our choice (a family of five). To our delight, our waitress, Penelope, provided top-notch service. We ordered the grilled duck breast, wine, digestif, & a kids' menu with dessert. 10/10 for service & food. Highly recommended.

Check the menu on the website, NOT on Google maps, needs some serious updating. The food is mid & not worth paying tourist prices. The Poutine & roasted duck was amazing though, I will admit that!

3 patrons for evening meal. Not that hungry so ordered appetizers. 2 orders of onion soup. It was very sweet, not a negative. Unusual to us, the cheese was on toast beside the soup bowl.
The other person had duck carpaccio with a truffle sauce. It was perfect!

Our 3rd time to La Buchette. Always terrific & friendly service from all staff. All attentive to details. Great recommendations from servers on drinks & food. This time we had the duck carpaccio & it was amazing - balanced of sweet & savory. Duck breast was delicious & so is the beef bourguignon. Will come back again next time we visit ville de Quebec. Maybe you can introduce rillettes as appetizers in future menu!

Some of the best food in Canada! Staff are friendly, food is TO DIE FOR!! blend of authentic Canadian cuisine & the French cuisine that influenced it! Cannot recommend enough, if i had to pick something to recommend (which is hard because everything was SO GOOD) I'd recommend the duck carpaccio & the maple-glazed pork shank. Every dessert option was phenomenal, but definitely snag some of the'bûcheron' chocolate cake, it was moist, nostalgic, & from a small local family business! (Plus you can get two free mimosas at brunch service with the coupon on the box) all in all, an authentic taste of old town Quebec!
