We stumbled across this wonderful restaurant & were most satisfied by the great tasty food & wonderful service by Olivier who was very attentive, accommodating with a great sense of humour. Couldn't have asked for more.

We were hesitant when we found out that the only place was sitting at the bar - but we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Seats were comfortable, bar staff & servers were attentive & friendly, food was good. We ended up talking with a new trainee from Peru & staff from USA. Multilingual, funny, engaging & professional. We ended up speaking to other patrons at the bar. We could not have anticipated such a delightful evening. The bar choice is highly recommended.
The entire experience was wonderful, from the delicious food to the attentive service . Our server, Joe, was incredibly friendly & attentive throughout our meal. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

The staff were exceptionally warm & welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The manager, Olivier, was a standout with his fantastic sense of humor & genuine hospitality, making us feel like part of the family. Our server, Carolanne, was a shining star, providing impeccable service with a smile that brightened our day. Her attentiveness & friendly demeanor truly enhanced our dining experience. The food was superb-my plate of eggs, bacon, potatoes, & homemade bread was delicious & perfectly cooked. Each bite was a testament to the kitchen's dedication to quality & flavor. For its incredible food, outstanding service, & the remarkable efforts of Olivier & Carolanne, I'm awarding La Buchette a glowing 5 Sonic Booms out of 5.
We decided to book La Buchette for our final dinner in Quebec. La Buchette absolutely did not disappoint as a grand finale vacation meal. The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy & welcoming, the staff were very friendly, attentive, & conversational. Christopher was assisting us with our meal & was thorough with all of his descriptions of the foods & drinks we ordered. He & the rest of the staff took time to get to know us & make sure that everything we ordered was to our liking. We ordered the lion's mane mushrooms, the duck carpaccio, the bison tomahawk, & flambéed crepes for dessert. The dinner service was paced well & the presentations were beautiful. The mushrooms had an interestingly complex, savory flavor, the bison was cooked perfectly tender, there was no need for a serrated knife. The crepes were an experience in themselves, flambéed table side with maple ice cream on the side. The cocktails were creative & all had a little bit of local flair with the choice of ingredients. I would absolutely recommend La Buchette to anyone looking to have a delicious & elevated dining experience with the local flavors of Quebec. If I lived in the area, I could easily see myself being a regular for a delightful weekend meal.

We indulged in a delightful array of dishes including the deer, burger, & rigatoni. Each dish was bursting with flavor & expertly prepared, leaving us craving for more. The ambiance of the restaurant added to the charm of the evening, creating a warm & inviting atmosphere perfect for celebrating special occasions.
