Very disappointed in the service here & the quality of crepes!!!
We arrived around 5:15pm & there was only one other couple.
We were ready to order & kept looking around at a server & there were 3 of them standing around. None of them looked our way or heard us say'excuse me!'
I literally watched them take an order of a party of 3 that just wanted drinks but came AFTER us!
I finally caught the attention of one of them by loudly saying excuse me with my arm raised.
They were all young looking too (in their 20s).
After our order was taken, the food took awhile to come out & I noticed that another couple that came AFTER us, was served their food (also crepes) before us!!
I was so hungry & upset!
When the crepes finally arrived, it was lackluster. Nothing special. The chocolate over powered the maple butter that was supposedly in my crepe. The texture of the crepe was rough & hard to cut.
Le Buche has better crepes!
My husband & I choose this place so that we could have authentic French crepes. Our server, which we did not get her name, was very friendly. We learned she was from Germany, which we were just in Germany last December for the Christmas Market. She invited us to come back to Quebec for their Christmas market. The food was very good & service was very friendly & personable.
We thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful brunch here with very fresh fruit crepes & great coffee & OJ. The service was excellent as well!
Quite mid tbh. Went here for breakfast on a Monday morning around 9. Perhaps because it's located on a touristy street, the atmosphere here was more modernish than i expected, playing pop songs in the background.
I like how they let you byo crepe so that you can have all the ingredients you like. I got a buckwheat crepe with spinach, mushrooms, bell peppers, asparagus, raiser beef, & pesto sauce. The portion was okay, though I expected it to be more filling than it had.
The taste of the buckwheat crepe was mid, not giving out a lot of flavor, & its texture was more rough than another one I had in another crepe restaurant (which I liked better). The veggies fillings were just fine, nothing special, & the roast beef also lack in flavor & seasoning, making the entirety of the dish tasted kinda dry & bland.
Overall just a OK restaurant, nothing outstanding. Personally wouldn't return.
I'd say if you're really looking for a NICE & DECENT crepe restaurant, try other places (e.g. Le Billig) that's more authentic!
Delicious stop! We split a savory crepe & a sweet crepe. Both were great. The savory was Choix #7 (Bacon, fresh spinach, tomatoes goat cheese, basil pesto). Sweet was strawberries & bananas with a maple syrup drizzle. Both with flour. I wish we had tried the buckwheat out of curiosity. Chai latte was also good -lots of cinnamon, a little less cream/milk than I am used to but had a good flavor.
Locale bretone sia nello stile che nel cibo, tutto davvero ottimo, dalle crepes simil-galette all'ottimo sidro. Servizio cortese e veloce. Lo consiglio assolutamente.
Lovely little crêpe spot, perfect for breakfast. We ordered two savory crêpes & one chocolate-banana-strawberry with whipped cream-very satisfying for someone with a sweet tooth. Overall, the food exceeded my expectations, & the staff were friendly. A great way to start the day in Quebec City.
