We had the 6 course tasting menu at Le Clan last night. My husband & friend had the wine pairing while I had the non-alcoholic drink pairing. The evening was very enjoyable, the food was superb & my non-alcoholic drink was unexpectedly eye-opening. There is so much effort & complexity that went into each drink, which went from simple to very nuanced by the end of the meal. For me it was like having another tasting menu in liquid form. What revelation!

The food was excellent, the flavours & combination were just right. The smoked clam was tender, the fish succulent, the rabbit was not dry, & the veal is just right. Even the dessert is an explosion of sweet, sour, chocolate & crunch. It was amazing.

As for service, it was one of the best. They accommodated my friend who was late (airline delayed). The sommelier & servers were knowledgeable & attentive.

What a memorable meal. One to remember.

We loved every minute. We arrived at 7 & did not leave until past 10. Absolutely no rush to leave. The food was not only delicious but beautifully presented & more than enough. We choose the 6 course tasting meal & went home " sufficiently suffonsified" & more. We also choose the wine pairing which we were not totally thrilled with. Although each wine was lovely & enhanced each course, we felt our introduction to each glass was minimal & rushed, we did not feel it added to our evening. Matthew our server was attentive as were the other servers who spent time describing each course that we were presented with in detail. In short, we would go back to Le Clan but order our own bottle of wine..

Wanted to experience a tasting menu & this restaurant offered exactly that. Took the 6 course experience & every plate was very creative & had great flavors. Every dish was well explained, the wine pairing was perfect & service was top. The only negative part was the time between services. It was rather long & the meal felt like it was being dragged on (3hrs).

Modern fine dining done very well. My wife & I visited during the Halloween weekend from New Brunswick & were lucky enough to have this be our 2nd fine dining experience in the city (although compared to many cities in Canada, many restaurants are fine dining in Quebec) & it did not disappoint. My cousin lives in the city & this was their first time here as well. As I mentioned in my review for le Champlain, this also had the 3 things I look for; great food, great service, great experience. Tucked away on a side street in the historic Old Quebec area, you enter & are greeted immediately by the kitchen & its unique decor, offering that sense that your in a fancy spot, but slightly more buttoned down/modern. My wife & I had the full course, high end wine pairing & my cousin & her partner had the same but with the more average wine pairings. It was a great way to engage the staff & see both sides. Both were incredible. I know folks in Quebec & France are used to many wines & trying new ones, but we lack that in most cities I've lived. The servers were knowledgeable, friendly & courteous & the choices for both food & wines were impeccable. Every wine brought an entirely unique experience from any I've had previously & the food left us very satisfied.

Great service & fantastic food. My wife & I had the 6 course set menu & wine pairings. Everything was 10/10 from start to finish! Really enjoyed the evening. Will definitely come back again when visiting Quebec City.

Definitely one of the best meals of my life. I had the 6 course menu with wine pairing. It was a tremendous value, as a comparable meal in the US would be 2-3 times as expensive. I loved how they incorporated whimsical touches with outstanding technique to produce wonderful tasting & beautiful courses

We chose the six course tasting menu accompanied with the wine pairing. The service was impeccable with well-timed presentation of courses. Each (food & wine pair) was thoroughly explained by our server . The ambiance was rustic yet intimate with mood-setting music. We appreciated the Chef's farm to table sourcing of ingredients. An overall five star experience.

The service & food are as perfect as you can find it. We had the 6 course tasting menu with wine pairing. It was cooked to perfection & the wine pairing was excellent. The service was attentive but not intrusive. They sourced the food locally & the quality of the ingredients was very good. We wanted to taste local Quebec cuisine & this is the place.
