We enjoyed the food which could be classified as traditional steakhouse. The shrimp was prepared perfectly flambé at the table, as well as the filet mignon. The evening was spoiled, however, when a waiter spilled a glass of red wine & not really apologize for his mistake & did not replace the spilled wine. The other wait staff provided good & friendly service except for this particular unrepentant waiter. It was a shame. Not going back.

Everything was perfect. The service was formal & very friendly. The food was excellent. I am a picky steak eater & like it well done. My steak was cooked to perfection. One of the few times I did not need to have it recooked. Will definitely return on our next trip to QC.

A fabulous 1st meal during our visit. Definitely a classic. Caesar salad was made very well. The beef capriccio was excellent. The scallops were cooked to perfection. Just a minor comment on the chateaubriand. We ordered it medium rare; however, with the sauce prepared at the table side, it should of been order rare. The minor flaw was that the sauce was prepared at table side, our expectation was the steak should of also been final touched too at table side. That's the only reason I deducted one star. Service was excellent. Will return.

BEST restaurant in the city! Old-school, traditional steakhouse that makes dinner a true event! Wonderful menu with lots of offerings & a very buttoned up wait staff. We love it here!

This is a marvelous restaurant. The table side preparation of steaks makes the entire experience very
memorable. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys an authentic, old fashioned steak house.

This restaurant is fantastic! Do not hesitate to make a reservation. The Caesar salad is made at the table & its is the best one I have had! The steak au poivre is to die for. We were a group of 9 people & we all agreed that this restaurant is hands down the best we've had since we arrived in Quebec city. SKIP Champlain at the Fairmont Chateau Frontenac & DO go to Le Continental just around the corner. You will not be disappointed. The flambe steaks & crepes made table side at Le Continental are great entertainment for the kids & our waiter/chef did include our son in the flambe process which was nice of them to do.
We ordered lots of different items off the menu like the cheese croquettes, pate, foie gras, & it was all delectable. We truly enjoyed our meal & will return! Unfortunately they do not open for lunch but do book ahead of time for a dinner reservation. Cheers!

What a wonderful dining experience! The scallops were huge, cooked perfectly & the edible floral touches were delicate & lovely. Duck a l'orange, peppercorn steak & pernod pears were flambeed at our table by our energetic, humourous & attentive waiter. The Maitre D was flexible & accomodating of our party of 15. Le Continental was a great venue for our celebration & the culinary highlight of our weekend in Quebec CIty!

We ordered the orange duck, the steak & the shrimp. The steak & shrimp were good. The orange duck was not good at all. The duck was not fresh. You can tell it was cooked a couple days ago. The orange sauce was not tasty. We ordered the peach dessert. It was essentially just canned peach with some sauce. Of course, they cooked them in front of you. Overall, I think you eat more or less for the presentation & the show. The food was really not so great. Although I have to say the portion is large.

Things have changed since COVID.... Had the shrimp really enjoyed, 4 people in my group had the pepper steak not great, the sides were $$plus
Felt like get in get out
Not the same experience compared to other years
It's a pricey restaurant

Une des plus mauvaise entrecôte que j'ai mangé dans ma vie. L'entrée d'escargots, les accompagnements du steak & le dessert étaient excellent.
