If for no other reason you come here for the spectacle of a room full of table side meal flambé preparations. Be prepared to be impressed. People come in dressed & casual as well. The staff are all seriously dressed & you know when you get here you’re really in for a treat.

The steaks wouldn’t be my favorite - I generally prefer seasoned steaks - but once in awhile you want to full flambé with cream sauce & brandy treatment. & this is it. To a person everyone I saw in the restaurant was saying this was the best meal they had had in a long time. Very nice wine list as well. Definitely a must visit spot for dinner.

I’m from Boston & have eaten at the finest steakhouses in the city & Le Continental exceeded our expectations of a fine steakhouse. The service was unparalleled & unlike anything I’ve seen from a fine steakhouse.

The best dinner we had in Quebec City! Really enjoyed the personal touch with having our steak cooked at the table & Cesar salad prepared at the table. Food was amazing.

Our dinner last evening was exceptional. From the Caesar salad for 2, peppercorn steak , Dover Sole & ending the birthday celebration with the strawberry shortcake (heaven on a plate) I cannot express what an amazing experience we had. Our waiter was a joy & the attention to detail by him & the entire staff was a 10. This reminded us of steakhouses of old that are hard to find. I cannot wait to come back when we are in Quebec City again

I was excited to have book at Le Continental. Soon as we arrived, we were welcome by this wonderful gentleman. The whole place is covered with rich panelling & luxury decor. We ordered lobster & steaks & it was cooked in front of us. That was fun to follow the whole process but our chef was very arrogant. I was asking questions while he was cooking & he barely engage with us & used a condescending tone. I am from Québec & I invited 2 friends from Toronto. We were not excited to eat anymore. Our $ was about $500. We couldn't wait to get out of there.

The absolute best restaurant- in Canada. Our third pilgrimage from Burlington Ontario. Our waiter Guy turned it into dinner & a show. Superior chef skills (he prepared Caesar salad & beef tenderloin table side) & tremendous wit. The last time I had a steak that good was a year ago - & Guy took care of us then. We'll be back.

We enjoyed our dinner here, delicious & full of amusement!

They cook in front of you, we did enjoy the show, the food is fantastic. We ordered orange duck, lobster with white wine sauce, black pepper sirloin steak for entrees. Minestrone soup & garlic snails for appetizers. All magnificent!!!

L'amer IPA a full of taste as well.
We will definitely go back.

Our dinner was simply magical. Francois was our waiter, & he was attentive & did a fantastic job cooking our steaks tableside. He also did a lovely job creating our dessert plates. The service at Le Continental is impeccable. We had flambé steaks, so those were prepared table side. Side dishes are brought out at the exact moment the steaks are ready, so everything is piping hot & delicious. We had eaten at Le Continental 29 years ago for our honeymoon & are thrilled that we were able to dine there on this visit. Fantastic experience for any special occasion.

Wonderful, old school ambiance! The service was impeccable - our waiter Matthew was solicitous without being pushy, very accommodating, cooked our chateaubriand EXACTLy as we ordered (2 different ways - one way for me & one way for my husband.) It was the best steak I have eaten in my life. Highly recommended for a special occasion.
