This is the epitome of a classic old school restaurant. The waitstaff in white coats, most menu items prepared table side... all of the flambes!! My shrimp were fresh & beautifully cooked table side & the presentation was also gorgeous & very old school. A very nice change of pace from all of the trendy restaurants everywhere these days. The service was lovely, if not a touch rushed (which is why I took off one star). The complimentary cookies after dinner were a nice touch.

Encore une fois, soirée mémorable.
Ambiance, repas, service, professionalisme impeccable, le tout chorégraphié au quart de tour, millimétré.
Désolés d'avoir été un peu turbulents, nous célébrions un anniversaire.

Very attentive staff from maitre d, waiter & assistant waiter. Had three courses prepared table side. Everything was excellent. You pay for the extra attention & service, but well worth it for the great food & service provided.

We have eaten at many of the finer restaurants in Montreal & while the meal is of equal value, the chefs' preparation of each course was perfection, the service far outdoes that of any in Montreal, starting with the valet service at the door. You are greeted by an extremely friendly attendant who immediately gives you a great vibe for what is to come. Then you walk into the restaurant which has a warm & inviting decor & lighting. Next you are impressed, one by one, by each of the staff inside, starting with the maître d', then the waiter, who was very informative & encouraged your questions, to the sommelier, those serving water & clearing the table. The presentation & delivery of the meal was exceptional & we even noticed how the senior staff were guiding the less experienced staff in how to do things meticulously for the benefit of the customer. Dining at Le Continental is not just
having dinner it is an experience you will never forget. One could say it appears that working at Le Continental is not just a job but rather an expression of love, which is displayed in every motion made by each member of the team. Thank you for a most memorable 49th anniversary dinner.
