We had a really great experience at Bistro L'Orygine. The tasting menu is a must-try. It was so great to have options for both vegetarian & vegan menus. Each course was unique, beautiful & wonderfully thought out. The wine list is extensive & you really can't go wrong. Highly recommend!

We were lucky to have dinner at L'Orygine on our our trip to Canada for the Indian Summer. We enjoyed fantastic food, chose from the elaborate wine list & appreciated perfect service! Thank you, guys! Also for the little popcorn treat to sweeten our way home ... What a pity that Germany is too far away to see you again soon ... but we will send all our travelling food loving friends!

As an english speaking visitor in Quebec City, with minimal functional french to use, the staff at L'Orygine went to their every effort to work with our table & communicate their dishes & cocktails. Beyond that great kindness, the staff were knowledgeable; talented; passionate & professional. Their service was unmatched, & they made our dinning experience just that-an experience.
The meal & drinks were phenomenal, beautiful flavours paired well with expertly made cocktails & chosen wines. It was a meal that left you thinking about booking your next reservation.

The 5 coarse meal & wine pairing is amazing with local ingredients. The Chef & staff go above & beyond & pay attention to all the details. We have truly enjoyed our experience every time we have come to Quebec City & we were amazing that the staff recognized us from last year. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

Very nice staff. We felt very attended to. The tasting meal with wine pairings was delicious & interesting. The vegetarian set may have been slightly more tasty than the omnivore choice — even for an omnivore.
Not something the restaurant can control but the funicular that would have taken us back to our hotel on high was closed by the time we finished dinner. Tripadvisor says 11:30PM. The funicular says 9:30 so it was quite the hike home after a big dinner & 5 tasting glasses of wine.
A lovely evening none the less.

I went there last night with my husband for our wedding anniversary - it was beautiful. We sat outside on the terrace & had a view of the port. The staff are friendly & knowledgeable. We had the vegetarian tasting menu; each course & accompanying wine was introduced to us. The food was delicious & I tried many things I hadn't tried before. Very happy to have stumbled across this restaurant & will be going there again, for sure!

We had a memorable evening. We ordered the omnivore tasting menu with the Québécois wine pairings. I had no idea there were so many good wines in this province that paired really well with the different courses which kept getting more outstanding with each course. We were introduced to sriram & I have a new appreciation for celery & carrots.

The service was flawless & highly coordinated. I had dinner with a unilingual anglophone & the staff were fluently bilingual.

Great atmosphere, service, & food. Highly recommend the prestige wine pairing with the 5 course discovery service. Well worth it. Vegetarian & vegan options are wonderful!
