We ordered:
Drip coffee
French toast
Turkish Eggs
Tartine
Muhammara
Honest review:
Drip coffee was one of the best cups I have had in quite some time. Better than a lot of V60 & Chemex brews.
Turkish eggs were great but the yogurt was a bit bland.
Muhammara was delicious but the ratio of pita to Muhammara was WAY off. Half a pita??
French toast… absolutely delicious. $18 for one slice??? What?
The tartine- the ham was fantastic & there was a good pile of it. The greens were very nice. The tomato hollandaise decent but not nearly rich enough. Hollandaise is butter first folks. Thin slice of'sourdough'. But only ONE egg! What's with the 3/4' thick slices of tomato? & two of the three slices were heels.
The meal for four cost $140 including taxes & tip & we left hungry.
Verdict: close to greatness. Falling short on the details though.
Went for brunch. They were nice to make accommodations for my child. But, food took a very long time to come & we ordered the vegan option for ourselves & eggs for the kiddo. The vegan food came topped with eggs instead of separately - maybe wires got crossed in communication & maybe an expectation mismatch.
I went here during the winter holiday season (2024) to enjoy some Christmas inspired drinks, which were very delicious. I had the mushrooms eggs Benedict, two of the run run reindeer, a chrismaspolitan, & the snowball old fashion. Very nice pop-up Christmas themed drinks 🍸.
It could be such a cool place & food is great but the experiance over all was disappointing. We travel alot around Canada with our three kids & so far we were generally treated well, not here though. The waitress was very unfriendly & since she was much friendlier to the three women sitting next to us I assume the rudeness was because of our kids. Also, We asked for some fried eggs & toast for the kids (there are dishes on the menu with eggs so they do have them) but that was not possible - very unflexible. Also I ordered a Cappuccino, but I was given a flat white. I suspect they don't know the difference. Also music und was so loud that we could hardly talk. Also, food took rather long to arrive. Overall not very pleasent, pics & reviews promised more.
Had breakfast here & they had the best hot chocolate I've had in a while! Amazing eggs bene & really fresh mozzarella, definitely recommend visiting for brunch!
I didn't have much expectations, we picked it among a few breakfast places in the area by fluke. I was pleasantly surprised. Great looking place, very Bohemian.
Took a little while to get a table, we got there just as the morning rush was slowing down.
Interesting menu, with lots of different, international takes on breakfast. We had the shakshuka with extra feta & canned anchovies, & the Turkish style egg. Everything was delicious. The tomato sauce from the shakshuka was packed with flavor.
They had a good selection of cocktails, cider & beer so it's a perfect boozy brunch place. Prices were very fair.
All around an amazing place.
Awesome place. Went for breakfast. Had the turkish eggs, pesto toast & salmon bagel. Was creative, flavourful & filling. Love the small & well priced portions so you can try a few. Drinks were amazing. Our server fred was wonderful- he had lovely energy. Thanks again!
