While I did not expect miracles given I was in the heart of the tourist area, I was intrigued with the menu.
As a single diner, I don’t expect the best table, but the table I was given actually moved every time anyone walked by… mildly annoying, but got entertaining as the evening progressed. Reminded me of being put in the non-smoking seat in an airplane.
The gin selection is unreal & I did very much enjoy the house gin. I wanted the carpaccio but it was already sold out; a good sign. The waitress suggested the brie. It was swimming in maple syrup but the overall flavour was pleasant. For my main, I was trying to decide between the coquille or the short ribs. The short ribs was recommended & I ordered: It was okay at best with the sauce being far too sweet; nothing the korean sauce it was described as. The sugar level made it almost inedible. But most disappointing was the cold & watery mash potatoes. I took photos as I was sure no one would believe me. The lightly sautéd veggies were probably my favourite part the meal… & the very pleasant waitress.
Given the shear number of restaurants in this area, I don’t plan on going back.
Not horrible, but when you order their signature plates, you expect perfection… at least great potatoes! Especially given the price.
But I would definitely buy their gin to take home.

Fantastic service & our Christmas dinner was wonderful. We highly recommend the seafood casserole & the Korean Short Ribs. The dessert pudding with ice cream was outstanding. When we return to Quebec for a visit, this restaurant will be our first to return to.

Wonderful last evening at Maison Livernois in a cozy window spot before departing Quebec. Nice smooth Reisling wine & tasty grilled octopus appetizer even if a lil small. All rib & seafood entrees were enjoyed even if 2nd choice due to absence of duck confit from menu. Friendly staff to us tourists 😊 Merci. Would try again

Good service. Great gin selection — we had a delicious martini. We had delicious fresh oysters & both our desserts were great — the crème brûlée & the bread pudding with ice cream. Main course we had short ribs & Coquille. The atmosphere is very nice inside. Next time I'd like to try the burger — looked delicious.

Came for dinner & it did not disappoint. The Melting Brie is absolutely divine & very much like dessert before the meal. The Korean short rib was braised to perfection, falling off the bone & paired fantastically with the truffle potatoes & vegetables. The server made fantastic wine pairing suggestions with each course (though I did go with an IPA for the brie; though I'd recommend a pilsner or tripel instead). Service was friendly & attentive. Never had any issues getting help if/when needed. I will certainly be returning, as this was a meal I won't soon forget, for the best of reasons!
