Reviews for Normandin are polarized, reflecting a mix of exceptional experiences and significant disappointments. Many patrons praise the friendly, attentive service, lively atmosphere, and delicious menu items like pizzas, clubs, and bowls, frequently highlighting the professional and welcoming nature of the staff. Conversely, others report inconsistent food quality, noting issues with cold or dry meals, small portions, and cleanliness concerns. Service experiences also vary greatly, with some guests feeling well-cared for while others face long wait times, perceived rudeness, or struggles with communication and accessibility. Overall, while many consider it a reliable and pleasant destination for meals, inconsistencies in management and service standards lead to mixed satisfaction among frequent visitors.
After a long road trip we needed a place to relax & a have a good meal. Past road trips & stops at other Normandin locations were 5/5. This location was busy with two large tables of 10+ people. We sat in the bar side as it seemed like the best option. Service was initially fast providing water & drinks. Our order was taken in good time. We did have to wait quite a while before our food was delivered. The salads were delicious & would recommend, the chicken was dry but possibly under the heat lamp due to the servers being overwhelmed with the larger tables. Overall would recommend over the fast food places nearby.

Definitely family friendly. Preface, I was visiting QC from the States. I kind of liken this place as a Cracker Barrel, but with a more modern ambiance. The menu is simply curated, & it covers all the bases. Keep in mind the Canadian palate is a little different than Americans. The portions are smaller, but the food is more thought out. We're not just talking eggs & bacon here. More of a First Watch menu. The staff was super nice & helpful. French is the primary language here, but the staff tried very hard to communicate with me. They made me feel very comfortable. They do have menus in english if you request them. They told me Normandin restaurants use to be a staple in every Quebec town. Times were a little rough, & they eventually had to re-invent themselves to what they are today. So there are less locations, but if you look you will still find them off major highways. For a quick & nice sit down breakfast you will find this place perfect.
& Merci encore.
