About

Pub L'Oncle Antoine operates as a traditional tavern featuring a robust menu centered on classic pub fare and hearty sandwiches. The kitchen specializes in stacked smoked meat preparations served alongside substantial sides that define the casual culinary identity of the establishment. Guests encounter a rustic atmosphere characterized by stone walls and exposed wooden beams that reflect the historical architecture of the building. The drink selection emphasizes a variety of local and imported beers intended to complement the savory nature of the meat-forward dishes. This venue functions as a primary destination for those seeking substantial portions and a focus on established, comfort-driven recipes. The layout supports both small groups and individual visitors who prioritize a straightforward approach to tavern-style sustenance in a focused, character-filled setting.

We tried this place twice. In the spring my husband & I went for drinks. Great atmosphere, great drinks - HORRIBLE service. It took almost an hour to get our bill - I had to ask THREE times.

We returned to Quebec City for a family trip this summer. The kids were thirsty & wanted a quick snack - & this place was close. My husband was not keen on returning after our bad experience last time. But, I talked him into it.

Big mistake. It was the exact same waiter as last time. He showed us to our table. He came back & literally tossed the menus on the table & turned & walked away without a word. We waited awhile & he still never came to take our order, even though it was not that busy inside or outside, so we left. Took our money elsewhere. Will never return.

If they are so busy that they can't handle a moderate crowd, then hire more people.

Must-visit place in the old city. Beside the ambience, the french onion soup is super satisfying, pairing well with either wine or beer. One of our favorite places to go to while living in Québec.

Terrible service & a remarkably rude waiter. We just stopped in for a single Diet Coke-literally a five-minute visit-& the entire interaction was unpleasant from the moment we sat down. The server had a bad attitude the whole time, but the worst part was when it came time to pay. He made a pointed, awkward remark about how the tip wasn't included on the receipt, essentially trying to shame us into tipping for a five-minute drink. When we asked for his name, he refused to share it. Completely unprofessional & a sour end to our time as tourists in an otherwise lovely city. Would not recommend. We tipped him cash at the end… but felt obliged to do so.
