The drinks were great, but constantly talking badly about others isn't cool. We may not speak French, but it's pretty obvious when people are talking about you.
Cute vibes & good drinks. The board games were fun to play on a rainy day. Food was ok. We got nachos & French onion soup - it was very heavy on the cheese which some people may or may not like
What? No rating for drinks? Beer gets 6 stars! Diverse beer styles, much more than web suggests. Service is great - great folks here. Food wasn't what was expected but turned out to be very good. I got mussels & pictured a hige bowl of Belgian mussels. A small jar of mussel meats were pickled & delicious, & served with a few nice small toasts. I don't do IPAs. Menu has regular, traditional, special & funky brews. Everything I tried was excellent. Look me up on Untappd to see what I thought. Love La Barberie!
What a gem! We completed both nights of our food & drink tour of QC at Pub L'Oncle Antoine which was just down the street from our AirBNB. The staff were fun & courteous & the atmosphere was cozy. We will be back for sure!
If in Quebec City, this pub is a must. Inexpensive eats, friendly service, great beer & drink selections. Fun atmosphere in cool cavern-like bar. Can play cards & other games. Everyone always having a good time. We'll be back!
This pub is an absolute treasure! Tucked away in a charming old building made completely out of cobblestone, & an unassuming entrance, it feels like stepping back in time. The atmosphere is cozy, warm, & full of character-exactly what you'd hope for in Old Quebec.
Now, the food… the French onion soup is simply to die for-rich, flavorful, & perfectly topped with gooey, golden cheese. Every bite was perfection. The rest of the menu is just as delightful, although limited as the focus is more on the drinks. There are also board games available & a big warm fireplace by the entrance.
To top it off, the service is outstanding. The staff are welcoming, friendly, & genuinely make the experience even better. Whether you're stopping in for a quick drink or a full meal, this place is an absolute must-visit. Can't wait to come back!
This is a cool bar & such an amazing building. It is like drinking in a cavern. This place ahs such a great vibe. It really feels like going back in time. Log fires in winter are always welcome. Nice to have mulled wine on a snowy day.
