I came to the restaurant hoping the negative comments were exaggerated by difficult customers. Unfortunately, it turns out they were right & explains why the ratings for Il Teatro have been declining.

My guest & I are Italian but both keep an open mind whenever trying restaurants.

The first sign that the dinner was going to be a disappointment is the prosciutto...San Daniele? Really guys? You can buy San Daniele at IGA & it isn't even in the top 10 list of Italian prosciuttos.

So we took the calamari instead, that was embarrassing. Please guys take a quick trip to Montreal & go to the rib n' reef, Elounda, Milos & about 20 other restaurants with the same price points to learn how to make proper calamari.

The pizza...I'll keep my comments to a minimum because I think they used gluten free dough, however calling that a margherita pizza is an insult to all Italians. Please take a ride to Montreal or a bunch of Quebec pizzerias that have MUCH better quality ingredients at a lower cost.

The veal parmigiana: the veal was good but the cheese on top was sub-par. The bed of spaghetti al pesto, well for that price, it should be illegal to call it pesto. Please teach your chefs/cooks to make real-deal pesto.

At those prices, cutting corners is blasphemy.

You have a beautiful establishment so please don't sit on your laurels because as your ratings drop, so will your patrons

Bon service nourriture moyenne belle terrasse. Beaucoup trop cher pour un midi avec 2 verres de vin 91.00$ avant pourboire le midi vraiment exagéré.

Pas du tout ce que l'on s'attendait! Service cordial mais la bouffe vraiment pas top. Escalope de veau plutôt ordinaire & un peu brûlée. Spaghetti fruits de mer peu goûteux & manque flagrant d'assaisonnement.
