I made a reservation ( which I recommend) for a Thursday where there is a special offer on top graded Beef. Quickly seated by the host she informed us about our waiters name whom appeared shortly after to take out orders.
I stared with an excellent French Onion soup, a rich broth with white wine & beer, topped with croutons & smothered in cheese before the cheese gets broiled atop. After my own, one of the best onion soup since Paris.
For the main course we had the Filet Mignon, ordered medium rare & it came out seated propped & absolutely perfect as ordered. Accompanied with a side of what I believe was red wine jus that was to die for & some perfect cooked shoe string French fries.
I thought of having some dessert but the meal had been too filling to even try.
During my one week stay I had been twice, first time for the just as perfect Burger meal & both times had a excellent experience.
I can highly recommend SHAKERS & Mixtology in Quebec City to anyone wanting an Superior dinner experience.

Nous avons célébré l'anniversaire d'un ami hier soir au Shaker, en groupe de 10 personnes. L'atmosphère était agréable, mais nous avons été déçus par la lenteur du service.

Deux serveuses se sont occupées de nous. La première, bien qu'agréable, était difficilement accessible, probablement en raison d'une forte sollicitation ailleurs. Il nous a fallu attendre près de 40 minutes après l'avoir interpellée pour enfin passer commande.

En revanche, l'attitude de sa collègue a été beaucoup moins professionnelle. Elle a insisté pour obtenir un pourboire, malgré le fait que la majorité du service avait été assurée par l'autre serveuse, qui avait entre-temps terminé son quart. Le tout, sans un mot de remerciement ni sourire, nous laissant effectuer seuls le paiement en entrant nous-mêmes les montants sur le terminal.

Nous avons malgré tout laissé un pourboire en espèces, mais le service ne le justifiait clairement pas. Déception pour un établissement que nous avions pourtant l'habitude de fréquenter.

Lots of variety on the menu but probably indicative of the quality - food was ok but not great & same with the drinks. Decor is nice & overall has a fun vibe.

Un moment très agréable, la cuisine délicieuse, un tartate de saumon vraiment innovant, des cocktails & une sélection de vin vraiment top, ambiance très sympa & service au top

Gorgeous restaurant inside! Their salmon tartare was delicious & so we're the dumplings. 7 up spritzer was also delicious! Service was slow but it was peak hours so we didn't mind.

J'ai adoré le service & l'organisation qui a permis que tous les plats soient servis en même temps. Nous étions un groupe de 13 personnes pour fêter un anniversaire & tout était très bien organisé, le repas était délicieux.

I don't leave restaurant reviews often.
Whenever I visit Quebec, I visit two restaurants. Shaker Kitchen, & Poulet Rouge. What an amazing restaurant. They have many deals depending on the day you go. On Sunday, they had lower price bottles of wine. Our table purchased a full bottle.
Please do yourself a favour, & have a drink, or their flank steak (which I had today). Absolutely delicious & cooked to perfection. Lots of mixed drink options. The Cesar salad was amazing as well. I wish I took a photo of the food before, but I ate it before I had a chance to think about it. Our waiter (Emrick) & waitress (Manon) were absolutely charming & welcoming as well. They did everything to make our Portuguese speaking parents feel at home. Absolutely amazing experience.

They have a great special MonTues great value. Service can be slow, but they are very nice.
