We passed by Shakers after dinner for a few cocktails before heading home. The host was super welcoming & offered us a table even though we offered to sit at the bar. Our table was at the back near the bathrooms. It was, to be fair, a very busy Saturday night. Our first order was two Espresso Martinis & they were really good. However, it took some time for our waiter to come back & take our second drink order. When he finally did, we landed on two simple drinks: a dry martini & a godfather. Max three ingredients per drink.
Not complex, though even if they were, this spot is advertising specialty drinks. Our second order took well over 20 minutes to arrive. So long that we actually contemplated just cancelling & leaving. It was kind of surprising that the bartenders & waiters were not able to communicate efficiently enough to provide two standard drinks to a couple of middle aged, super friendly customers. When he finally arrived with our second order, only then did he remove our first empty glasses. & getting him back to pay our bill was not easy either. We tipped, but not as much as we first planned. The minute the waiter saw our lower tip, he left & hardly said thank you or goodbye. I understand service & have been a server for half my life. Because of this, it wouldn't really surprise me if at this point in the experience, people would tip a bit lower. In fact, I'd expect it to be no tip if I gave such sporadic & unpredictable care to a table. Our bill wasn't small. We paid over 60$+ tax. It's not like we ordered the cheapest things on the menu. I appreciate & understand that waiters have hard nights & that there's a lot to contend with. However, when you're asking people to pay top dollar for drinks & service, you have to expect that they will want to feel significant enough to be checked up on & remembered. Wouldn't go back, honestly.
On the plus side, really decent drinks. 😌

Il y a eu des erreurs dans nos plats. Mon amie a eu un tartare avec des noix & elle n'avait pas commander cela. Comme on était là avant un spectacle, on a pas eu le temps de faire l'échange, mais constat de dire que l'erreur aurait pu être dangereuse pour d'autres personnes. Même chose pour moi avec des conséquences moins grave, les dumplings n'étaient pas ceux commander.

Went for an afternoon drink here & we ended up staying a few hours. The bar staff were amazing, extremely friendy & checked in us but did not bug us. It was nice to be able to sit & chat to my friends without someone asking if we needed anything every few minutes but we're always there if we needed something. Also drink prices were very cheap. Thank you guys, you're the best in Quebec City.

Un bon petit samedi soir d'hiver à manger dans un bon restaurant en plein coeur du vieux-quebec.

Venu avec des amis, nous avons beaucoup apprécié l'ambiance tamisé de ce restaurant qui propose un très LARGE choix de cocktails qui fût aussi goûteux les uns que les autres.

Le repas a mis pas mal de temps à arriver mais le résultat était quand même assez bon mais un peu sec pour mon burger.

Les frites elles étaient excellente.

Il manquait je trouve un peu de sourire sur le visage de la serveuse ce qui est dommage notamment quand on apporte es factures alors qu'on est en train de manger ce sont pas des choses qui doivent se faire.

Je recommande tout de même cette place pour allez goûter des cocktails très original :)

Le filet minion & le brownie sont simplement divins & les serveurs sont tres efficaces & plaisant. Assez cher, mais comme endroit pour evenement spéciaux ça vaut la peine.

The staff was great. Fun, friendly, attentive but not intrusive. General tao chicken was delicious, probably wouldn't to pork dumplings again. Espresso martini well made. Great place to grab a quick bite
