Veravin 2.0 offers a unique and welcoming dining environment for those seeking a dedicated gluten free and lactose free menu. Many guests appreciate the peace of mind that comes with a fully safe kitchen, noting that the diverse selection of high quality, homemade dishes like fish and chips, onion rings, and cheese sticks are delicious enough to satisfy any palate. While the atmosphere is frequently described as warm and charming, visitors should be prepared for potential wait times during busy periods, as the kitchen prioritizes fresh preparation. The staff is often praised for their friendly and accommodating nature, making it a highly recommended gem in Quebec City for anyone with dietary restrictions or simply looking for a fantastic meal.
Excellente nourriture sans gluten, a ne pas manqué. Nous n'avons pas été déçu & nous y retournerons lors de nos future vacances.
Linguini, pogos, poutine, friture, burgers, plein de chose que nous devons normalement nous privé (sans gluten).
This was my first visit to Quebec City & when I found Veravin so close to my accommodation, I was thrilled. Gratefully, it was everything the reviews promised! I was able to have poutine for the first time in my life & my family assured me it was a very good example (I had nothing to compare it to). I also had incredibly tasty calamari & I topped off the meal with impossibly good carrot cake! The cake was so good there was no way I could tell it was gluten free.
I would recommend that the restaurant get another air conditioner, though. One small wall mounted device was far too little for a full restaurant, & it became quite uncomfortable. We actually found it cooler outside when we left!
A fantastic dedicated gluten-free restaurant, the kind of place where people who don't have to avoid gluten would enjoy themselves without realizing that they're eating GF! I wish we could have visited more often. I had my first French onion soup in a restaurant in decades... SO good, as were the onion rings & poutine. I've never had Alchemiste beer before but I'll definitely be looking for it in my local depaneur!
One point to improve upon: the burger 100Gluten sounded delicious & the name is hilarious (at least for the French-speakers who would get the joke... I did but my wife did not) but despite all the layers, it lacked flavour. Maybe it just needed some ketchup, or salt & pepper. Unfortunately, none of that came with our food, & our waiter was missing for the rest of our evening once our food was served. I tried to wave him down but he was very busy with other guests, & I suspect his difficulty with English meant that he was a bit uncomfortable taking orders or feedback from the rest of my family (whose French skills are not as strong as mine)...but perhaps it was entirely because of other reasons.
Aside from that, the rest of the meal, experience & atmosphere was great, & had we been in town longer (or had they been open on a Monday or Tuesday), we would have gladly gone twice in one week. Next time! Strongly recommended! 👍👍

This was the first 100% gluten free restaurant I have ever visited & the food did not disappoint! My partner & I enjoyed the onion rings (super yummy, great batter) & a glass of natural orange wine. For our mains, he enjoyed a delicious seafood risotto & I the fish & chips with poutine (the fish & batter were soooo good, but I do not recommend the poutine) I ordered a lavender lemonade gin cocktail & it was far too sweet but still tasty. Our service was very slow but I enjoyed the meal & the fact that everything was gluten free so much I really didn't mind
Enjoyed a delicious meal. Great ambience. Very nice service. The burger of the moment was of the chicken variety & was exceptionally juicy. Poutine & onion rings were on point! Beautifully presented carrot cake.
This spot is everything I have ever secretly wanted in a restaurant. It had beautiful open brick wall but the music was quiet & lots of sound absorbing surfaces so it was lovely & relaxing for a date--plus they sat us right beside the radiator. Looks to be a family run place with exceptional service & OMG nearly everything on the menu is lactose free. We had the French onion soup, poutine, & salmon linguini. The pasta was excellent. The poutine was admittedly an odd accompaniment, but it was so nice to have lactose free chee se curds. It could have used more gravy. The French onion soup was made with mead which was lovely but the cheese was on a crunchy toast set on top instead of covering the soup. Would have loved to have the gf/lf carrot cake or creme brulee but ran out of room.
AMAZING. I had the cheese sticks, onion rings, spicy pok poutine, & finished off with a crèmebrulee. Most definitely will be a repeat customer next time I visit!
Question de ne pas gaspiller!!!
Merci!
