Auberge Baker Restaurant
Château-Richer

Food
5.0

When I was a young boy growing up in Maine in the 50's my parents used to take us to Bakers Inn for a 4 day week-end. Our ancestors are from Isle d'Orleans across the river. Madame and Puppa Baker ran the inn then and there were cabins to stay in. My parents signed the inn's guest book on their honeymoon in 1941 right before my dad left for WWII. The food was fantastic then and still is now after all these years. The atmosphere and service uphold the tradition of Madame Baker who was unique for sure. She wore tradition Quebecois clothing, hard sole shoes and braids and was everywhere at once. This place is literally world renown for a reason. You need to try it if you haven't yet. You will be impressed. I now live in NH and as soon as the US/CN border reopens we're going back AGAIN.
