Reviews often mention
The owner was cold & unfriendly from the moment we arrived.
The food was absolutely terrible because it was overwhelmingly salty. The prices were outrageously expensive for such a tiny portion.
CA$23 (before tax) for a bowl of rice with only 4 shrimp & bean sprouts, all drowned in an extremely salty sauce.
I will never come back.
Very small portions for the price. Pad see ew was good, general tsos has no flavor or spice to it.
This was the worst food for the price I've ever eaten anywhere. The meat portion was so tiny it was honestly laughable, & the vegetables were literally raw - not al dente, not lightly cooked, just raw & crunchy. There was absolutely no effort put into executing a proper meal. It felt like this restaurant has completely given up.
I almost never write reviews, but this experience was so bad I felt I had to. It was a complete rip?off for what they served.
We had just arrived in Québec City later than expected, checked into our nearby hotel, & wanted to grab something to eat before places closed. We chose this restaurant while walking along Grande Allée - big mistake. I should have checked the reviews first.
The dining area was empty when we walked in. A group of five people were ordering at the cash register, & I assumed they were getting takeout. But when it was our turn, we were told you have to order first & then go sit down. Huge red flag. I should have walked out right there, but I figured maybe they had sent the servers home early since it was close to closing.
When I picked up my food, I realized immediately that this place had given up. A huge white plate with a tiny portion of meat & completely uncooked vegetables. I worked in hotel kitchens for nearly 10 years in my youth - if I had ever served vegetables like that at a banquet, I would have been yelled at &'accidentally' taken off the schedule for a week.
I honestly don't understand how this restaurant is still operating. Stay away.
