We were so excited for this place since it had great reviews & was at Relais & Chateaux property. They seated us in this lovely little corner next to a fireplace, but then forgot us basically. After about 45 minutes I went to find someone to take our drink order. After a while they brought us a cocktail & nothing else for basically an hour. Finally after about an hour & 15 minutes & after 3 different servers peaked around the corner looking at our table wondering why we were sitting there one of them came up to us & took our order & brought some water. Then another 45ish minutes go by & still no food & finally another waitress comes up to us & apologizes saying the food was on the way & that they had miscommunications about who was serving us. She quickly brings us a charcuterie platter & a complimentary glass of red wine she asked if we wanted dessert when we haven't even had our entree, just complete confusion at this place at all levels. No one there seemed to have any idea what was going on. We finally got our food about 2 hours after we got there. I will say our cocktail, the wine, & the food was excellent. The service was very subpar. Alyssa did her absolute best to salvage it after she found out what was happening & she is the sole reason that the restaurant is getting 3 stars & service 2 stars. She even provided us with a cool spot to go to for an after dinner drink. We thank her for the great service & hospitality, but everyone else there needs to get their act together. We always look for the Relais & Chateaux symbol because it's normally a standard of excellence no matter where in the world you are. Bar Artefact doesn't meet that standard based on our visit.

Great place to spend an evening. Excellent service & good food. Loved the warm milk bread & beetroot salad. Their wine & drinks selection is great & if you are not sure, the friendly staff can make great suggestions.

A bit of difficulty trying to order a USA Chardonnay off your wine menu. Took three people. Finally the bottle from the wine menu(second one) was delivered by bar tender to our dinner table.

Everything was superb, thanks very much. A welcoming oasis on our arrival at the Auberge for a 3 night stay. Inventive menu, excellent wine options, gracious & warm service, & a cosy spot for 2 by the fire. Couldn't ask for anything more!

Nice food at relatively reasonable prices. Great desserts. Wonderful service. Only downside is wine by the glass is expensive- cheapest white wine was $18.

My husband & I enjoyed a lovely evening here.
The beer & wine selections were well priced & abundant. The food was delicious & the service was excellent. The ambience is very pleassnt with great background music. A perfect spot for dinner or just drinks. Bar Artefact is comparable to many of the other, more expensive restaurants we visited while in Quebec City. We would definitely return.
