Just a wonderful place. We sat downstairs in a cozy room with a fireplace. The host/server/owner was exceptional. I had the boar filet & my wife had the Mac & cheese. Both were superb.
Wow! Everything was fantastic. The food was both extraordinary & plentiful, the service was personal & warm, the atmosphere was so very comfortable we sat for hours. From appetizers to dessert with wine pairing you cannot go wrong. Mac & cheese is a must!
My wife & I stayed around the corner from this restaurant & were drawn to it by the sign on the sidewalk - otherwise we would never have come across it... & we are so glad we did!
We instantly were made to feel at home in the cozy atmosphere. We loved the old stone walls & the decor. It almost felt like eating at the home of a good friend. The staff were friendly & helpfully attentive. The food was high quality & prepared beautifully - & tasted even better than anticipated. I had the delicious boar entree & my wife had the perfectly creamy/cheesy macaroni & cheese with chunks of perfectly cooked bacon that I may or may not have stolen when she wasn't looking.
I highly recommend this lovely little hidden gem in Old Quebec!

Stumbled upon this place while walking around the city. Menu looked intriguing (Mac & cheese gnocchi caught our eye specifically), read the reviews & decided to give it a go & it did not disappoint! One of our best meals during our trip in Quebec (Montreal, Quebec City, further east)! Love all the local items on their menu. The sommelier Gélinas suggested this local Quebec orange wine & it was incredible. He also offers pairings with each course if you prefer! Ordered the cheese board (Quebec cheeses), French onion soup, halibut & Mac & cheese & it was all amazing. Portion sizes are also very generous! Great vibe & decor inside. They have a private room downstairs for parties up to 6 people it looked like! Don't miss this place! Lots of people had resos but we got lucky with some bar seats!
One of my more memorable dining experiences. Ambiance was relaxing. Service was top notch. & the food outstanding! Our choices: onion soup , which was deconstructed so it was a lighter choice as an app. Scallop was amazing as an app also. Then our mains were Halibut & a Mac & Cheese made with gnocchi. OMG!!!!
I'll always remember this one in Quebec👍
Not sure why this place is not busier. Steps away for a crowded street of mediocre food & drink offerings, I decided to stop in for a glass of wine & some cheese after a long day of walking. It is charming & intimate. Wonderful service, a lovely glass of rose & an incredible cheese board. Off the beaten track on a side street but what a delightful discovery. I will be back for a full meal.
A boutique owner in Ottawa suggested that this is the best restaurant in Quebec City &, without having tried all of them, I would venture to say she was absolutely right. Unassuming from the outside, the inside is lovely, warm & charming. We were greeted by the sommelier who made wonderful suggestions to accompany our dishes. The bison carpaccio & scallop appetizers were incredible! The mac'n cheese entree may sound pedestrian, but it is anything but. If you like poutine (a food concept we're still trying to wrap our heads around), the poutine fois gras will spoil you for any other version.
This place is on a quiet little street, a half-block from a very noisy one, lined with one restaurant after another, & tables seemingly on top of each other. BE Club was a delightful oasis, in every way imaginable.
