A charming local bistro showcasing regional products and homemade cuisine. Our chalkboard menu evolves with the seasons and fresh market availability, offering a selection of tasty and authentic bistro dishes. On-site, our sommelier will help you discover their favorites and new finds from a wine list featuring nearly 200 labels, including a fine selection by the glass. For a more intimate experience, our wine cellar can be reserved upon request. All this in a warm and friendly atmosphere, in the heart of a historic building dating back to 1827 — a charming place where it is a pleasure to savor a great meal and excellent wine.
BEClub Bistro-Bar is a highly regarded culinary destination in Old Quebec, celebrated for its exceptional food, warm and cozy atmosphere, and professional, attentive service. Guests frequently highlight the creative menu featuring high-quality local ingredients, with standout dishes like the bison, halibut, and the signature mac and cheese. The restaurant offers a sophisticated yet comfortable environment, complemented by a knowledgeable team and an impressive selection of wine pairings, making it a favorite for both locals and travelers alike.
The specials of Wild Mushrooms on Toast (appetizer) & Beef Confit (entree) were beautifully curated & prepared, & were delicious. Wine pairings were recommended by the very knowledgeable sommelier & included a lovely local selection. Ambience was very laid back, warm & welcoming. Highly recommend.
This was such a great discovery! The service was so friendly, & the cocktails, wine, food were all amazing - a menu full of interesting variety / canadian food / unique pairings (loved the bison carpaccio!). The restaurant is also very cozy & comfy, with fireplaces & sofas for some of the seating options. Thank you for a great night! ❤?
From the first glance menu can appear limited & restaurant itself not very busy & that might turn some people away. But people who will not be afraid to give this restaurant a chance will be rewarded with an excellent meal.Staff is very knowledgeable about the wines & you can also go & pick a bottle of wine yourself from downstairs cellar. For the main courses we have tried three different courses including Filet Mignon, one of specials( sausage), & Le Planche. My 7 year old who didn't touch anything, but fries & pizza the whole trip, she ate filet mignon & everything else that went along with it & wanted more. All the meats we had were like butter, melted in the mouth, absolutely amazing! We had homemade cherry sorbet & strawberry cream brûlée for dessert - both spectacular, fresh, light, sorbet had just the right amount of sweetness, refreshing, nice touch to finish the dinner. Brûlée - airy, great chefs's twist adding strawberry notes, perfection.

On my multiple visits so far, everything has been highly enjoyable. The atmosphere, service, & curated menu of fresh choices is exquisite. Perfect focus on fresh ingredients & preperation. Nice selection of wines for pairing purposes as well. Definitely highly recommended.
Food was excellent!! Paired with a nice pinot noir wine. Best to share so that you can try different dishes. If you are two, you must get at least three dishes one starter & two main. If you are very hungry I suggest going for a third main. Worth the price, a nice treat to yourself.
Echoing a previous reviewer, walk a few steps off the main drag & enter a tranquil world of fine food, wine, & service. With a unique design featuring live edge wood tables, truly comfortable chairs, & soft music, this place delivered everything we were looking for. Farm to table cuisine (they actually list the names of all of their providers) was excellent. We had wine that wasn't on the menu & a blackboard special that needed a bit of Google translation but well worth it. Service was relaxed, & while not fluently bilingual, every effort was made to meet our needs. If this restaurant was half a block south onto Rue Sainte-Jean, it would be impossible to get into.
My group did a food tour, & this was the last of three stops. We had the entree here with the steak & it was alright. Also had the paired red wine. The server was just OK because they didn't really explain the dish.
Go here, please. Walk twenty steps off the main strip & you will be in a gem of a spot in QC. My family & I had the best dinner of our two week Canadian road trip here. Incredible hospitality, quiet + sophisticated space, thoughtful food - every aspect from the sourcing to the presentation to the flavor was 💯. We had a great conversation with the owner about growing grapes, wine making, & the time it takes to hone this craft. My family all loved our meals. This was an absolute highlight from our trip.
Hiding behind the slightly rundown wine bar facade is a serious badass casual fine dining experience. Exceptional service, a small but perfectly formed wine list & a compact menu of exquisite locally-sourced game & white fish dishes all come together for what was a great night.
