Went for breakfast before our walking tour, we were cutting it a bit close & were concerned as they were SO busy, but the service was amazing & the food came out quickly & was the best breakfast we've had while we were here. Definitely try the homemade strawberry jam!

The food is mediocre. At least what I ate. My bf said the same thing. The potatoes are very good though. The wait was long. I don't get why they don't just take names & text when table is available. They kept telling people to not stand infront of the art store next door.i feel like that's a simple fix to having 30 ppl wait in line. & reading reviews people complain the staff is rude. I can understand what they mean. I think there busy but they come across stand offish so if your sensitive you may feel like they are rude.

L'Antiquaire Buffet is a traditional quebecois restaurant.
I recommend to book since it used to be busy.
Cipaille is their specialty, a traditional quebecois meal, it's a meat pie based on beef/calf, pork & chicken

Ordered Le Spécial Antiquaire for breakfast. Food was good, especially their house made strawberry jam, portions were perfect, & unlimited coffee refills. Service was friendly. It was really busy but the wait was reasonable. Decent prices. Overall, very good.

Very busy but quickly found seating. Service is quick & straightforward. L'assiette canadienne was nothing special but not bad.

came here this morning for breakfast around 10am, waited in line for 5ish minutes for a table before having the best diner breakfast food of my life. everything was so good & it's needless to say but i cleaned the plate! so so so delicious & the servers were very kind! always made sure to check on everyone despite the restaurant being very busy.

Good food, generous portions, & excellent service. We arrived during a busy time & it took some time to get drinks ordered & delivered, but after that, service was outstanding for the rest of the evening. Our server (I wish I'd asked her name) was on point, eagle-eyed & entertaining. She noticed me inspecting a possible spot on my beer glass & proactively took it & replaced it with a fresh beer before I'd even decided whether to say anything. We ordered comfort food - poutine galvaude, pâté chinois, & pouding chômeur. All three were delicious & very solid portions considering the price. Would go again!

It was not as good as it once was. Was on my go-to places when in the area, but after my last visit, it might be the last. The quality of the food was not on par for many of us in our group. Dishes & utensils were dirty, & I struggled to find something properly cleaned. Whoever cleans clearly doesn't care, & the person placing the tables doesn't care either. The place was busy, as I remember, so service was fine considering that, but I guess they were riding on an old reputation, cause serving unclean dishes, mugs, glasses & utensils is a major problem & frankly offensive to paying customers. I would avoid until better reviews come up after this one. Only got 3 stars because of past experiences, but it really only takes one really bad experience to lose a customer (& probably customers from our group).
