On my past visits to Québec City, I was never able to get a reservation at Buvette Scott. This time, I made one a week before coming, & what a joy it was to finally experience this place.
But is it a restaurant? Of course it is. There is incredible food, prepared with the kind of care & attention to detail you would expect at a Michelin-starred restaurant, but after two nights at Buvette Scott, it felt like so much more than that - it felt like going to eat with family.
Every dish was a culinary experience, with beautiful combinations of flavours, fresh ingredients, & so much care put into every plate. Everything I tried was so good that I honestly didn't want it to end.
I can confidently say that I had the best dessert of my life at Buvette Scott. The strawberry shortcake was an incredible experience &, in fact, the only dish I ordered during my two nights there.
& the service is just as special as the food. You are treated like a friend in this incredibly cozy & welcoming environment. When I left, the servers were saying goodbye to me by name, & one of the servers even came outside to shake my hand & say goodbye. It was such a small gesture, but it meant a lot & perfectly captured the feeling of this place.
When you leave, you already feel like you want to come back as soon as possible - at least, that's exactly how I felt.
Buvette Scott is an absolute MUST if you're visiting Québec City.

Parenthèse inattendue....dans une petite rue classique & endormie, la buvette Scott réserve une excellente surprise : un mix de cuisine adaptée à la saison, de vins bien choisis & une atmosphère de proximité formidable

Beau petit endroit. On est venu pour prendre l'apéro & manger un petit quelque chose. La serveuse manquait de professionnalisme. Elle était beaucoup trop familière & désinvolte. J'aurais aimé être conseillé & qu'on m'explique les choix de bières en fût. C'était comme si l'on devait évidemment connaître les options disponibles. Cependant, les fleurs de courgette étaient magnifiques, & le serveur qui les a apportées était courtois & professionnel.
Endroit d'une qualité de nourriture excellente & de gens exceptionnels & passionnés. Petite terrasse extérieure charmante.
Want to have an amazing food experience? Buvette Scott is just what you need . Our waiter Jules set the tone for the pace of the dishes as they came out. It feels like everyone that is working there is proud of the dishes that are served, & they should be. Small plates, wonderful food from local sources, & a warm atmosphere, what.more could you want?
Une véritable petite perle nichée dans une rue paisible, à quelques minutes seulement des quartiers plus touristiques. On y découvre une ambiance chaleureuse & tamisée, dans un charmant écrin avec un service attentionné & chaleureux.
Sans prétention, la cuisine mise avant tout sur le goût, les beaux équilibres & l'originalité. Les plats sont soigneusement réfléchis, authentiques & profondément savoureux, tout en respectant pleinement la qualité des produits.
Une cuisine sincère & maîtrisée, où chaque assiette a du sens. Une adresse que l'on recommande les yeux fermés.
Quelle belle découverte. Petit endroit dérobé du vieux Québec. Un menu super intéressant, la qualité des plats étaient au rendez-vous! Mention spéciale au pétoncle & aux chanterelles- beurre homard. Très belle carte des vins. Le tout orchestré par un service compétent, chaleureux, généreux & efficace. Vraiment un endroit à ne pas manquer!!
Exceptional service & amazing food. Every dish was incredible. Do not miss this place when coming to Quebec. Our server Gules was so helpful & thoughtful. It was truly our best dinner in Canada. We had the best time here.
