On my past visits to Québec City, I was never able to get a reservation at Buvette Scott. This time, I made one a week before coming, & what a joy it was to finally experience this place.
But is it a restaurant? Of course it is. There is incredible food, prepared with the kind of care & attention to detail you would expect at a Michelin-starred restaurant, but after two nights at Buvette Scott, it felt like so much more than that - it felt like going to eat with family.
Every dish was a culinary experience, with beautiful combinations of flavours, fresh ingredients, & so much care put into every plate. Everything I tried was so good that I honestly didn't want it to end.
I can confidently say that I had the best dessert of my life at Buvette Scott. The strawberry shortcake was an incredible experience &, in fact, the only dish I ordered during my two nights there.
& the service is just as special as the food. You are treated like a friend in this incredibly cozy & welcoming environment. When I left, the servers were saying goodbye to me by name, & one of the servers even came outside to shake my hand & say goodbye. It was such a small gesture, but it meant a lot & perfectly captured the feeling of this place.
When you leave, you already feel like you want to come back as soon as possible - at least, that's exactly how I felt.
Buvette Scott is an absolute MUST if you're visiting Québec City.

Want to have an amazing food experience? Buvette Scott is just what you need . Our waiter Jules set the tone for the pace of the dishes as they came out. It feels like everyone that is working there is proud of the dishes that are served, & they should be. Small plates, wonderful food from local sources, & a warm atmosphere, what.more could you want?
AMAZING. A must! The experience at Buvette Scott was unparalleled. From the moment we entered, they made my husband & me feel so welcomed & like such honored guests. We also had our baby in tow & they were so sweet making accommodations. The food & wine selection were outstanding, the presentation was beautiful, & our server & the owner went above & beyond to make our night special. Cannot recommend highly enough!
One of the most memorable meals I've had in a very long time. Two seats at the bar, six plates shared between us, every one of them absolutely delicious. Service & the pacing of courses was perfect, vibe was casual & warm, vinyl selections were on point. Thank you for a wonderful evening, Buvette Scott! Merci!
It's not often that I feel compelled to review restaurants, but we had such a great experience at this restaurant that I had to share! We were lucky to get a reservation for 4 of us. We had an absolutely incredible meal. I regret that we did not learn the name of our waiter because he was fabulous, guiding us through the menu, making helpful recommendations about how much to order so that we could share all of the plates. He also had excellent wine recommendations. The food was outstanding. We ordered lots of plates to share & loved them all! We were fighting for the last bite because the flavors were incredible. I highly recommend booking a reservation at Buvette Scott! Best meal of our trip.

my husband & I had an absolutely fabulous experience at Buvette Scott last night. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm & friendly. we had an array of dishes that were suggested but not pushed onto us, & we were so pleased with each & every one, from the extremely fresh sea urchin to the buttery pike, perfectly charred cabbage, scallops, focaccia, & pumpkin tart with ice cream… everything was honestly exceptional. I even made a point to practice my French & both of our servers were extremely kind, patient, & charming. It was a fabulous experience that we will remember for a long time. Merci beaucoup!
Quelle belle découverte inusité. Située dans une petite rue qui n'a l'air de rien, cette buvette fort coquette & très petite avec autour d'une quinzaine de tables & au comptoir, renferme un coffre de trésors inattendus. La serveuse super accueillante & a la personnalité éclectique conseille fortement de prendre une série de plats a partager de cette table du marché. Ce que nous avons fait à quatre fourchettes. On nous a fait vivre un caroussel de plats a coups de deux choix bien combinés par tour. Une explosion de saveurs & découvertes vraiment épatantes. J'y retournerai assurément avec cette mention de'Bib gourmand' décerné par le guide Michelin qui le vaut amplement.
Durant mon road trip gastronomique avec mon conjoint cet été, nous nous sommes arrêtés à Québec & avons découvert la Buvette Scott, une recommandation Michelin « petit prix ».
Quelle belle découverte! Un petit resto intime avec une ambiance chaleureuse & un service attentionné.
Nous étions assis au bar & servis par Marine, qui connaissait parfaitement ses vins & nous a guidés avec beaucoup de passion.
Le menu est original & plein de belles surprises.
Coup de coeur absolu pour le tartare de veau un délice! ✨ Je recommande sans hésiter.
