Café Félin Ma Langue Aux Chats is widely praised as a cozy and relaxing space where visitors can enjoy good food and beverages while interacting with friendly, well-maintained cats. Many guests appreciate the café's inclusive employment mission, which prioritizes opportunities for individuals with disabilities and veterans, creating a warm, community-focused environment that feels like a welcoming living room. While most reviews highlight the pleasant atmosphere and kind staff, some visitors have expressed concerns regarding cleanliness, occasional odors, the presence of clutter, and the speed of service. Additionally, opinions are divided regarding the origin and physical condition of the cats, as well as the strictness of health-related guidelines such as removing shoes and handwashing, though supporters view these measures as essential for the animals' well-being.

Had such a fantastic experience getting brunch at Café Feline Ma Langue Aux Chats that we went back for a second time in a week! So fun to interact with the cats, as well as to support a veteran-run business. & they have gluten-free options!! I got an omelette both times, & the coffee was great, too. & even if you're allergic to cats (as I am), they keep it very clean... I didn't need any antihistamines either time. Strongly recommended! Especially if you love cats! 😻
I would highly recommend Café Félin to anyone in the area looking for great service, food, & unique atmosphere. Added bonus- the owner is a veteran & so kind!
Lovely little cat café in Québec City! The hot chocolate was very well presented & was tasty, but scalding hot. The cats were adorable & friendly & were very well cared for. Atmopshere was nice with a warm & cosy feel, aside from the piles of household clutter behind our table which brought it down a little. Service was acceptable, very little customer interaction though. Would recommend for a unique cafe option!
My partner & I were very excited to come to the cat cafe.
Unfortunately, it was not the highlight of our trip.
When you enter you are asked to take your shoes off, which would be fine but the entry area is quite gross & not clean.
When you come inside it is clean-ish but there is a cat smell & a lot of clutter. We sat down at the only table available, & I would recommend that the cafe only have tables with a smooth surface, instead of slats, as our table had lots of cat dander, fur, & other unknowns in-between each slat. Then menus & cards on the table are old & have a bit of an unpleasant smell to them. I ordered the fruit salad, the smell, cleanliness & poor quality of the fruit meant my food went basically untouched. My partner finished his croissant.
The mission behind the shop is great, & I appreciate the equal employment opportunities. The cats also all looked healthy*. *We saw another review after we went saying the cats are declawed, is this true? We weren't there very long to notice.
