A chain cafe, with both the good & bad that entails.
The decor & atmosphere is nice. The space is large.

Drinks & the pecan tarte were ok. I would have chose something else, so maybe I missed their specialty.

I'm quite picky when it comes to coffee, so maybe it's just me, but the coffee wasn't great. I ordered a cortado, the barista called my drink a cortado, but girl, it was a latte. I drank it anyway, & it was mid. The only vegan option was a cookie (I didn't have it). There's not a lot of options in the city for vegan stuff at cafes. At least they had Loop juices. But if you're a coffee lover, I'd pick somewhere else.

Also my partner had a smoothie which she liked, & a croissant sandwich which she described also as mid :/

Edit: the reply from the cafe mentioned a vegan sandwich but the barista confirmed the bread has eggs in it, so it is not vegan.

A very nice chain of cafes in Quebec. We've stopped many times at several locations in & around Old Quebec. Always a positive experience. This particular location has some cute seats outside where you can enjoy when the weather is nice. You can sit there & enjoy some delicious treats & sandwiches, drinks, conversation, & even people watching. The drinks are always delicious. I feel the pricing & portion servings are decent. The staff is always helpful & professional, while also being friendly. Highly recommended.

So comfortable in many ways: service, music, installations... good quality & all the products. After a good walk in the streets & the cool weather of Quebec, it's so comfortable to go in & drink a hot drink.

Croissants & espresso were okay, but the service was a letdown. My first drink was wrong; I accepted the espresso over the requested americano simply to move things along. It got worse: while ordering $65 in sandwiches for a long travel day (3 flights ahead), I tipped upfront only to watch five groups who ordered after us get served first. Managing a restless toddler on a tight schedule, we eventually had to leave without the latte we paid for. Frustrating to tip for service that never materialized.

My friend & I had just finished dinner when we decided to take a walk along the streets of Quebec.
I loved the spirit of the city - even in the freezing cold, thousands of people filled the streets, walking together as if celebrating a sacred day, like the return of Christ himself. There was a sense of unity in the air, as though everyone shared one heartbeat, blessed in the quiet grace of God.

As we strolled, my friends noticed a group of Chinese girls taking photos inside a cozy coffee shop. Being Chinese themselves, they laughed & nudged me to go check it out. The place was packed - utterly alive. Though it called itself a coffee shop, it served wine & cocktails too, & the crowd buzzed with energy. Conversations, laughter, & clinking glasses filled the space. Despite the noise, I felt a deep joy to be among them, caught in that moment of shared exuberance.

The French people had something special about them - a natural charm, tall frames, & radiant ease. None carried the heaviness I often sense in Ontario. They seemed both grounded & spirited, effortlessly alive.
At one point, an older man stood beside me in the checkout line, grumbling softly but somehow adding to the scene's character. Soon after, we found seats, & the drinks arrived quickly. My friends insisted they tasted far better than the ones we usually get back home - & I had to agree.

Great spot to hang if you want a warm stop to go & have late drink including mixed drinks & cocktails & a great alternative if you're not interested in going to a loud bar. Quite a few options that are plant based & gluten free. Would definitely recommend.

Great little café in a historic building in Old Quebec City. Varied collection of different pastries & nibbles along with smooth & delicious lattes. Can get a little busy at peak times as it's in a touristy area along a street filled with other shops & restaurants, but it's worth the wait. We stopped here for breakfast & enjoyed our drinks & eats but my partner did find that his bagel wasn't warmed up as much as he had hoped.

I always enjoy visiting this place when I'm in Quebec City. The coffee is good, the pastries delicious, & the setting is beautiful. However, today's visit left me a bit perplexed.

I was travelling with three seniors & decided to bring them here for coffee since I really like this place. One of my guests had ordered four medium coffees for us. They were served in large cups, but each cup was filled at most 60%. When I asked the staff member if she could top them up a bit more, she explained that since we ordered medium size, she couldn't add more coffee because the ceramic cups come only in small or large size (she even proceeded to show me them).

I felt a bit embaressed by the situation because I wanted to treat my guests to a nice experience, & we ended up drinking our coffees from cups that were partly filled. Maybe it would help if the medium size matched the cup size better or if there was a way to top up the coffee when needed.

Despite this I'll come back as I've been here many times & have always enjoyed it. I understand sometimes miscommunication may happen.
