Several visits for coffee & breakfast, week of September 1st, 2025 as this was a convenient location from our hotel. As with the other locations, always great to visit. Exceptional coffee, teas, pastries & sandwiches. Staff friendly, professional & helpful. Outdoor seasonal seating, washrooms & good street views. Good to work at tables.

The coffee was good but the pastries (croissants & waffles) were so bad we did not eat them. Staff was friendly & atmosphere was fine.

Interior is nice. Service is also fine, people were nice & did their job well. But the pastries & coffee are absolutely horrible. When they ask you if you want your pain au chocolate warmed up that is a clear sign something is wrong. Flat white tasted horrendous - you can literally feel the cheapest beans used.

The drinks & pastries were quite good, however the service was far from what we expected. The person who took our order (a tall white gentlemen with a bowl haircut) was extremely rude. I heard him speak English to the customer before us, so when we went up to order we naturally ordered in English. However, he would only respond to us in French. This made it uncomfortable to order & actually get the food we wanted. When I confronted him after for being rude, & asked if it's because we don't know French he told me he was English. Perhaps he treated us this way because we are south Asian. Overall I'm very disappointed with the service & this is not what I expected.

Dec2024 Popular trendy cafe chain that is a hybrid cafe & bistro. This particular outlet has a larger cut & is able to separate the two sections into two separate dining & service counter sections. The pastries at the cafe section are noticeable huge. Service is tourist friendly with very amiable english speaking staff. The areas are clean, rustic & compatible to the Upper Old Town area feel. Expect a large tourist trade with plenty of groups esp during cold seasons.

Good choice of food, pastries, BLTs etc Buzzy fun atmosphere Terrible coffee. Stuck in the past with their own strict ideas of espresso to milk ratios. All milk frothed as much as possible & all froth in your cup like it or not. Thirty years ago in Calgary they caught on to flat whites.

The cafe has its ups & downs. The food was just okay, but the pastries were quite good, & the coffee was excellent. However, our experience was marred by a frustrating mix-up. We ordered chocolate croissants, but they gave us plain ones instead. After returning them twice, we were finally told they were out of chocolate croissants. It was a disappointing experience that could have been easily avoided with better communication. While the coffee & pastries were highlights, the service needs improvement.
