Franchement très agréable !
Notre repas pour nous deux: entrées- longuet de lapin, saisi de cerf laqué à l'érable; principal- 2 x joue de boeuf braisé; desserts- crème brûlée au lactaire, tatin de pommes au caramel salé...excellent vin rouge accompagnant le tout.
Le service: notre serveuse Arianne généreuse & attentionnée !

Chez Boileau-bistro boreal was our best dinner while in Quebec City. Everything was exceptional.

Our party shared several dishes. The char carpaccio, seal meatloaf & scallops, & beef cheeks were all delicious. Our table shared 3 of the desserts & they were equally delicious! We also absolutely loved the wine/after dinner drink recommendations - the Domaine du Nival Pinot Noir & the Domaine Acer Charles Aime Robert 10 Ans d'Age Maple.

Our waitress was incredibly knowledgable & outlined every special that was offered for the Christmas season. I highly recommend the Christmas special appetizer that she told us about, it was full of new flavours! The ambience was cozy with warm lighting. We took the beef cheek & bison steak & both were great. But, the best was dessert: CREME BRULEE!!!! I would come back again & recommend it to my friends.

Vraiment déçu, nous étions 4 & tous plus ou moins satisfaits, Pas beaucoup de choix de vin à moins de 80$ & comme de raison, il manquait de la sorte que nous voulions & ça faisait passer la bouteille à 85$
L'entrée de pétoncles du jour a 22$ Vraiment décevante , l'entrée de rillette de foie gras était excellente pour l'assiette de poisson du doré très ordinaire, la macreuse pour mon mari était correct , la joue de boeuf de mon amie était juste passable & mon plat de boudin était très décevant , boudin très mou & sans goût
Très , très décevant pour une soirée d'anniversaire dont j'avais demandé un petit dessert d'anniversaire que nous n'avons jamais eu

Bon repas. Ambiance décontractée. Pièce de viande, macreuse, cuite saignante telle que demandée. Bons desserts. Les vins sont très très chers ce qui rend la facture salée au final.

Bonjour,
Entrées de poireau/hareng & la soupe à l'oignon étaient excellentes. Plats: Épaule d'agneau excellente, peut-être le meilleur agneau que j'ai goûté à vie! Risotto bon mais surprennent car les grains croquaient sous la dent, différent du rizotto crémeux à base de riz. Pavé de flétan un peu surcuit à l'extérieur (le 1er cm) mais globalement cuit adéquatement. P-t diminuer l'épaisseur du morceau? Mais sans réduire la portion qui était ''limite'' pour une bonne fourchette. Pavé de pommes de terre bon. La sauce qui accompagnait le plat de flétan était parfaite, onctueuse & légèrement aigre, bel équilibre. Desserts: Crème brulée & brownies très bons, comme la tartelette au choco. Très bon capuccino. Le seul point faible du repas est le pain. Il était froid, un peu humide. Il donnait l'impression d'être décongelé. Dommage car la saveur était savoureuse mais la texture problématique. Ne donnait pas l'impression de sortir de la boulangerie. Service adéquat, professionnel. L'idée de placer une poutrelle d'acier entre les tables pour deux est ingénieuse, augmente la place limitée sur la table. Chez Boulay est un resto emblématique de Québec & je le recommanderais sans hésiter.
