With their rigorous climate marked by a distinct seasonal cycle, northern territories are gifted with unique fauna and flora adapted to their extreme reality: game, fresh water fish, wild fruit, forest mushrooms, lichen… inspired by these unique elements, a rising number of chefs are exploring this once neglected exceptional culinary legacy.

In Quebec, Jean-Luc Boulay and Arnaud Marchand, supported by a passionate team, have been standing up to the challenge of inventing quebec inspired northern cuisine since 2012. Great food & service would highly recommend!! My girlfriend & I started with the french onion soup which was out of this world followed by the beef sirloin & the beef cheek which was so soft tender & savory. Lastly we had the crème brûlée dessert which was our favorite & Bert came to sing happy birthday for the special occasion. We will be coming back for sure & this arguably is the best restaurant we've been to in Canada

J'ai retrouvé la finesse de la gastronomie de ma France natale avec des produits québécois précieusement sélectionnés. De l'entrée au dessert c'était parfait, & le service impeccable. Un restaurant que je peux recommander les yeux fermés.

C'était l'anniversaire de ma femme & je l'avais noté sur la réservation. Une petite attention aurait été apprécié, comme un petit cocktail ou un petit dessert. Sinon, tout était parfait!

En entrée, nous avons beaucoup apprécié le carpaccio de boeuf, le carpaccio d'omble du Québec & la saisie de bison. Les 3 étaient excellents & il serait difficile d'en recommander un plus que l'autre. En repas principal, la bavette de bison a été l'assiette favorite de tout le monde, la cuisson était parfaite & les saveurs sublimes. Le doré nous a tous laissé un peu sur notre appétit. Quoique la portion était généreuse, nous avons trouvé que ça manquait de punch, de kick & que c'était plutôt fade. En dessert, la crème brûlée & la tarte au fromage avec le sorbet à la camerise remporte la palme. Les profitéroles nous ont fait dire : "bof", sans plus! Notre serveur, celui qui a troqué le sud-ouest de la France pour les hivers du Québec, a grandement contribué à cette belle expérience culinaire & il fait définitivement partie des raisons pour lesquelles nous reviendrons nous régaler chez-vous.

Reservation is recommended. We tried the different entrees including the fish, Scottish egg, beef steak & duck confit. All were excellent. The dessert maple cake & ice cream were so good. Lunch prices were reasonable. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful experience for lunch. The servers were enthusiastic & fun. My daughter & I shared a salad & the sirloin & then got two desserts. The steak & accompaniments were out of this world with flavor! The salad & desserts were delicious as well. Our best meal that we had in Quebec on a 5 day trip.

On perdait l'ombre de fontaine sous trop de saveurs.
P-e un peu trop de chou-fleur avec les pétoncles.
La joue était fantastique, le bison & les desserts aussi.

Service was unorganized & unprofessional. We were ignored for inappropriate durations & time, & did not feel welcome within the space. Staff were on their phones & not attentive.

After receiving dessert menus, we eventually gave up on getting our server's attention, & asked for the check. I normally do not leave reviews for restaurants, but our experience was frustrating. I would not return.

Was looking forward to this one... after a beautiful weekend in Quebec City, I was excited to see this as the only full restaurant on Wednesday. Unfortunately, our dinner tonight was a disappointment, & the service was borderline offensive. While the price is fair, the food doesn't live up to the expectations. (It was fine) Our biggest issue was with the service. The waiter was impolite, distant, & almost ignoring us for stretches of 15-20 minutes. It felt like a challenge to get his attention was he was chitchatting with staff (& not about work). Waiters were messing around, texting on phones behind the bar, & just not focused on service. We were asked twice about drinks, & greeted by 3 different staff members before our original waiter returned to take our food order. The service just appeared to have no organization. After our entree, we collected a dessert menu, & eventually gave up on placing an order, & simply asked for the check. For our final night in the city, this was a letdown. Though the food was fine, I would not recommend a night out here. I typically don't leave reviews, but I was quite frustrated after this experience.

Seule chose, le dessert se nommait "tarte au sucre" , alors que c'était clairement un gâteau au fromage.
