Nous n'avons beaucoup apprécié les deux vins blancs qui nous ont été proposés. Le plat de poisson (bar) m'a toutefois un peu déçu : la portion était assez mince, ce qui le rendait légèrement sec. L'expérience dans son ensemble était correcte, mais nous ne croyons pas y retourner. À 280 $ pour deux personnes, nous pensons qu'il est possible de trouver une expérience plus satisfaisante ailleurs.

Delicious food! The beef cheek was tender & the sauce was so good! Also enjoyed the foie gras & the seal meatloaf. Highly recommend for high quality food at a reasonable price!

Nous avons essayé pour la première fois cet établissement dans le cadre de « Québec Table Gourmande ».

Le restaurant offrait un menu 3 services à 65$/personne.

Les plats montrent un grand savoir faire de l'équipe en cuisine. Le montage était magnifique & minutieux. Les aliments frais & bien apprêtés. Un peu trop salé, par contre. & le dessert manquait un peu de goût.

Les cocktails sont limités & coûtent près de 20$. Les recettes sont intéressantes & créatives.

La carte des vins est très variées & élégante, mais fait rapidement monter la facture. Par contre il y a un bon éventail de choix pour le vin au verre, ce qui est une belle alternative.

Le service était excellent & la liste musicale était très plaisante.

En résumé, sans l'événement de découverte culinaire dont nous avons profité, nous n'aurions pas tenté l'expérience. À cause du prix de ses menus, ce n'est pas vraiment un restaurant abordable pour les gens de classe moyenne.

Malgré cela, Chez Boulay reste un établissement de renom au centre de notre beau Vieux-Québec & je considère qu'il faut l'essayer au moins une fois dans sa vie.
