We waited an hour after our starters to get our mains. The server failed to check on our drinks & didn't provide an explanation nor apology for such a long wait. The restaurant was only 70% full that night! Not going back again.

Le thon de Gaspésie en tataki n'était pas tout à fait au point, mais le doré était exceptionnel (comme les autres plats signature).

Améliorer toutefois le vin maison, en particulier le rouge qui m'a fait penser à de l'anhydride sulfureux. Désolée d'avoir eu cette impression :-)

But for one issue, which overshadowed an otherwise fabulous dining experience, we would have give Chez Boulay 5 starts all around. The tables are appropriately close together for the space, but our dining experience was tainted by the next table, where a couple & their dog were seated. The dog sat at the table, licked it, & was fed its meal by its humans. I am a dog lover, but this was unacceptable. We are guessing the owners might have been VIPs, otherwise why would they be permitted to have a dog take a seat at the table, in close proximity to other diners? While the presence of a dog might not spoil the fine dining experience for others, it spoiled ours. Having said that, the service was great, food & presentation were outstanding, & ambience, other than the dog, was very enjoyable.
