Diners encounter a focused selection of classic Asian recipes prepared with precision and consistent technique. The interior environment maintains a straightforward and functional layout that prioritizes the delivery of flavorful food over decorative extravagance. Every dish reflects a commitment to balanced flavor profiles ranging from numbing sensations to savory umami depths. Review Summary

Chez Soi La Chine is widely celebrated as a hidden gem in Quebec, offering authentic and flavorful Chinese cuisine that consistently impresses guests. Visitors frequently praise the impeccable and friendly service, noting that the kitchen manages to balance high-quality, freshly prepared dishes with impressive speed. Popular menu items like dumplings, Peking duck, and various noodle dishes are highlights of the dining experience, which takes place in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. While the vast majority of feedback is glowing, a small minority of patrons have expressed disappointment with the seasoning of certain dishes, yet the overall consensus points toward a highly recommended destination for those seeking memorable and expertly crafted meals.

Excellent Kung pao chicken & shrimp fried rice! Service was great as well!

Nice little place. Cosy & warm. It feels like you're coming in like it's your family, very welcome. You have to not be in a hurry if you go there, the wait is a bit long, but the service & the food is too good for this to make it a bad experience. Can be pricey in my opinion, that entrée as multiples hors d'oeuvres at 7.95$ for 2 wontons, 1 wing, one chicken leg & 1 spring roll (all very small, may I add). The prices for the main courses are actually good just not that one. I recommend if you're looking for Chinese food!

The owner was very nice & it felt very nice to come here because I was craving Chinese food because I'm from the US & the food was beyond what I expected. I love a typical chicken fried rice so that's what I got & it couldn't have been much better it was exactly what I was looking for. I liked the napkins too!

The dishes are small & rice is not included. I was charged an extra $8 for rice to go with the $22 General Tso chicken which was not enough for a full meal. The noodles also appear to be Italian linguini instead of traditional asian noodles.

Good service & nice decoration but the food is not what you would expect of the traditional dishes they offer such as a salty gongbao chicken or a vinegar yuxiang eggplant. Not in the same league as chinese restaurants of Montreal, Toronto or Vancouver but hey, it's the only one in Quebec.

I've been travelling to Québec City on business twice a month since 2015. I LOVE Chinese food & was blown away when I discovered this place in the heart of Old Quebec City. Authentic Chinese food cooked by a Chinese family. It's as if your Chinese friends had invited you to their home for dinner. She cooks, he works the front of the room & the kids even help out too. Love the seafood (frog legs, squid, mussels, scallops & large shrimp) as well as the spicy crispy chicken! The bonus: BYOB !!!
