As a Vietnamese visiting from the U.S., I can say a 100% that this place is authentic. I'm not a big fan of ph?, so I rarely eat it. In fact, the only ph? I usually eat is in Vietnam. The ph? I've had in the U.S. doesn't even come close, it just doesn't taste like real ph?. This was my first time trying ph? & bánh mì here, & I was completely blown away. The food is incredible! It honestly feels like I'm back in Vietnam again. I'll definitely be coming back before I head back to the U.S.
Une cuisine vietnamienne pleine de fraîcheur & de saveurs, préparée avec authenticité. Une carte minimaliste avec l'essentiel : les grands classiques comme de généreux ph?, des bánh mì, des rouleaux de printemps, des vermicelles, des nems…! Tout est tellleeeemeennnnnt savoureux!
Mon coup de coeur va au service vraiment attentionné, chaleureux. On s'y sent bien & accueilli avec sincérité dès les premières minutes.
Une très belle découverte que je risque de revisiter souvent… parce qu'il y a encore quelques plats qui me font de l'oeil & que je suis dingue de leurs nems 🇻🇳🍜
Delicious banh mi. We really liked the quality of the bread. The butter in the banh mi definitely elevated it. Service was fast with complementary hot tea.

J'y suis allé aujourd'hui, j'ai pris une soupe pho & un bành mi & c'était délicieux !! Les serveuses étaient gentilles & attentionnées

Menu assez simple, mais tout ce qu'on a essayé était vraiment bon. Le bánh mì au porc était particulièrement délicieux. Dommage qu'ils ne servent pas d'alcool, mais c'est un super endroit pour manger rapidement, & le restaurant est très cute aussi.
Ok, you're overly cheesed, sugared & buttered from the usual fare in Quebec, then you stumble across Chez Yen. Yes! A small menu, but what they do, they do very well. Besides the other reviews about what has a Quebec style influence in the food (banh mi, anyone?), the noodle & pho offerings are huge,'clean' tasting (as in not so salty, etc.), laden with fresh vegetables, & delicately spiced. Yum!

Le banh mi incroyable le goût de la viande & de sa sauce miam . Petit resto rapide ,pas beaucoup d'ambiance mais la cuisine maison à très bon prix en vaut le détour !
It is a lovely quiet restaurant right in the middle of old Quebec. We were greeted with a pot of green tea & room temperature water (a real luxury in Quebec where all you get everywhere is freezing cold with ice cubes floating sometimes, which I totally cannot drink no matter how thirsty I am). We ordered spring rolls, banh mi & the vermicelli with meat dish. Each one was awesome. The portion size was good. The two of us were really full at the end of the meal. The proprietor lady os always smiling, an added bonus. Oh, you should try the pineapple coconut milk! We had lunch here on a special Saturday. It was amazing 😍.
Ça fait vraiment du bien d'avoir un restaurant vietnamien avec des Banh mi de cette qualité là à Québec. C'était vraiment délicieux. & le café sua da était vraiment incroyable.
