The table is set for Scalded the French bistro hippest part of Quebec. Chef Jean-François Girard presents an innovative and contemporary approach to cooking "Bistro" with a lunch menu varies each day and taking its source in the different seasonal products from the greater Quebec City area. Add to that a wine list with over 400 references carefully selected by our sommelier, Guillaume Blanchette, who will at the same time, advise you that unique bottle that will make you smile or the glass of wine that will marry perfectly with your meal . L'Échaudé is a neighborhood bistro atmosphere, a comfortable dining room or, alternatively, a terrace service on pedestrian street.

Nice restaurant but portions a bit small.
Next time would order few orders of bread first.

Bit of challenge with small entrees course & small mains to know how much to order.

I booked the restaurant to celebrate my wife's birthday, I did not want a tourist trap kind of restaurant in the center of Quebec Old City.
This place did not disappoint, the staff were excellent, food was amazing & wine selection vast.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Very good food, the best scallop dish we have had in a long time, perfectly cooked, looked good too with nice caramelisation to the scallops, good number too.
Wine by the glass was good.
Good value too for a tourist area.

Our first visit to Quebec in a decade, & this restaurant continues to excite us, & remains our favorite in the city. Wonderful fresh oysters, the best duck confit of all time, crispy skin arctic char, & a miraculous dessert named "the perfect bite." From the fine French-dominated wine list, we selected the Morgan from Louis Claude Desvignes. Perfect fit for both the duck & the fish. Friendly, helpful, unhurried service. Pleasant ambiance & outdoor tables for nice weather. We will return.

Beautiful menu with extensive wine list. The ambiance is great & the restaurant is not overcharged with tables which give the customer sufficient space.
Attentive welcoming staff. Serving staff lost a bit of continuity towards the end but it does not take anything away from the beautiful evening we had.
