Farm to table at its best ! The Chef presented each plate, each ingredient, their source & sustainability practices. The dinner was a huge success & quite a fantastic experience.

Truly amazing dinner! Fresh, local ingredients & inventive preparations. Elevated cuisine without the fussiness of other places at this level. Very friendly staff. Although we were the only English speakers at the dinner seating, our server kindly translated descriptions for us. Incredible value for the quality of the food.

Le Faux Berger est un restaurant incroyable.
Dès notre arrivée, nous avons reçu un accueil chaleureux. L'hôte nous a expliqué le déroulement de la soirée ainsi que les différentes options pour accompagner notre repas.

Lors du souper, chaque plat nous a été présenté en détail, avec des explications claires sur la provenance des produits dans notre assiette. Tout au long de la soirée, notre serveur a été attentif & a pris le temps de répondre à toutes nos questions concernant les plats & les ingrédients.

Ce restaurant respecte profondément les produits mis à sa disposition & fait preuve d'une créativité remarquable pour confectionner des plats goûteux, copieux &, sans aucun doute, hors des sentiers battus.

Pour ce genre d'établissement que l'on visite quelques fois par année, nous pouvons dire avec grand plaisir que cette table est une véritable table d'exception. Je recommande fortement si vous êtes de passage dans la région & prêts à laisser le chef vous faire voyager à travers les saveurs du terroir.

Ps. Le Calvados de poire est un délice!

Une expérience sensationnelle!
De la haute gastronomie avec une conscience locale. Le choix des ingrédients, le mélange des saveurs & des textures sont remarquables. Les accords mets-vins sont exceptionnels.
Aussi banal que cela puisse paraître, j'y ai mangé les meilleures aubergines de ma vie.
L'ambiance est décontractée & chaleureuse.
Tous les employés passent à la table, même les cuisiniers - un vrai plaisir.
Nous recommandons vivement!

We went here on a Friday night, & it was a full house! You definitely need reservations. The courses were presented beautifully, & each had a story behind its conception & the ingredients involved. The courses themselves were delicious. It's fantastic to find a restaurant using purely local ingredients from the farm & those surrounding it.

One thing to note is that if your french language skills are mediocre to poor like mine, it's very difficult to follow along when the chef is explaining the course. He explains it to the entire restaurant at the same time, & only in french (which is fair - we were the only english speaking table in the restaurant when we went, & had no expectations that they would explain in both languages).

The staff were more than kind enough to privately come to our table after each explanation & translate it for us. Obviously this means we ate our food a bit later than everyone else while we listened through the english explanation, but it was still a great experience & we would happily visit again!

One of the best restaurant experiences I've ever had. Heavy emphasis on farm to fork, with the vast majority of the ingredients featured sourced from the Charlevoix region. The atmosphere is one of dining with the family, & the chef takes the time at the start of each course to dive into the inspirations behind the dish. Thank you so much to all the staff & chefs for creating such wonderful memories!

Restrictions alimentaires : produits laitiers (tous) & noix / arachides

J'ai été sincèrement impressionné par la manière dont Faux Berger a pris en compte mes restrictions alimentaires. Je ne me suis jamais senti comme un fardeau, ni comme si le simple fait de retirer des ingrédients suffisait. L'équipe a vraiment mis les bouchées doubles pour créer des plats aussi savoureux & raffinés que ceux servis aux autres clients. C'est la première fois que je me sens aussi privilégié de pouvoir manger un repas aussi délicieux que tout le monde.

Si je pouvais vous donner une étoile de plus, au-delà des cinq, je le ferais sans hésiter.

Merci infiniment Faux Berger pour cette superbe soirée - je me suis régalé & j'ai passé un moment formidable !

Omg... Un souper gastronomique de fou! Les Faux Bergers c'est un gros coup de coeur 💯
La fraîcheur, qualité des ingrédients, le service & l'audace des mélanges de saveurs & textures, c'est impressionnant & délicieux! Un must absolu pour les épicuriens ❤?
*On avait aussi un tartare de canard que j'ai oublié de prendre en photo 🤷?♀?

Les Faux Bergers is clearly run by an exceptional team of highly talented, intuitive & knowledgeable chefs, & we really appreciated how well sourced the ingredients for every single dish were. You can really feel the love that the chefs have for the produce. A few things to keep in mind: - The meal is slow paced & lasts for the entire evening (around 4 hours long), this is an immersive experience - It was surprising for a place next to a fromagerie not to highlight more one of their cheeses as part of the main meal (though you can add it on before dessert) - The terrace could maybe be a little bit more pleasant & decorated, & cloth napkins would be a nice touch We would still highly recommend this restaurant, it's definitely a memorable culinary experience in Charlevoix :)

Ce restaurant mérite amplement son 5 étoiles! Les plats sont beaux, goûteux & si bien expliqués. Presque tous les ingrédients proviennent de Charlevoix (même leur vaisselle!) Les propriétaires & les employés sont de vrais passionnés. Je ne bois pas d'alcool, donc j'ai adoré qu'ils offrent un accord mets-mocktail. Je recommande à tous les "foody"!
