This was the first restaurant we tried in Quebec, & it made a great first impression.
The broth was noticeably sweet, & the turmeric noodle soup had a nice garlic flavor, which was quite unique.
Overall, a very enjoyable meal - would recommend.

C'était absolument excellent! Commande pour apportez. Service impeccable. Saveurs typiques, portions justes, prix justes, on le recommande fortement! Peu importe ce que vous choisissez, tout est savoureux!!! Nous y retournerons sans hésiter.

1st time here. Had beef pho & the dumplings. Both very good, the dumplings dangerously so. Price point is acceptable. Friendly staff. Would return. Recommend.

Great Vietnamese restaurant just a few minute walk outside Old Quebec City walls. Very clean with a cute aesthetic. Our waiter (young man with slightly longer brown hair) was very friendly & he was kind enough to let me practice my French with him. My husband ordered the Beef Pho & I had the Beef Cha Gio. To be honest, portions are slightly on the smaller side. The owner was very friendly & attentive. They also have pre made items such as spring rolls, Kim chi & desserts to go. Would highly recommend, especially on a cold rainy day like today.

My sister & I just arrived in Quebec City for the first time today! After taking the VIA Rail & dropping our suitcases off at our Airbnb, we were on the hunt for a good lunch spot around 1pm & we stumbled upon Gao. What a gem!

We both ordered the shrimp bun cha gio, & honestly, it was one of the best I've had (& I live in Halifax, NS!). Everything was so fresh & flavorful, beautifully presented, & the portion was just right. The prices were very reasonable for the quality, & the service was friendly & attentive without being overbearing.

The ambience was also lovely modern yet cozy, with a relaxed vibe that made us feel instantly comfortable after a long travel morning.

Highly recommend this spot whether you're visiting or local. We left happy, full, & already talking about coming back before our trip ends!

Excellent choice! Food was great, tasty, fresh & reasonable price. Very nice atmosphere & super clean. We will definitely recommend to our friends & family. We will for sure come back to this restaurant.
