When you first walk in the door with the atmosphere so clean & of course food is very fresh too. You just gotta try to know what I'm talking about !!
By far this is one of the best Vietnamese restaurants I've been to in Quebec. The food was fresh, authentic, & full of flavour. The pho had a rich & comforting broth, & every dish was beautifully prepared. The staff were incredibly welcoming, & the service was fast & friendly. I was here with my family for a week & came here a few times.
Best part was we got the meet the owner himself which is now operated by his daughter. Everyone was super friendly!
As someone who appreciates authentic Vietnamese food, I was genuinely impressed. If you're visiting Quebec City & craving Vietnamese cuisine, this place is a must-try. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town!
I had the pleasure of having lunch at Gao this Friday, & it was a wonderful experience. The atmosphere is incredible: welcoming, elegant, & impeccably clean. The food was absolutely spectacular, with authentic flavors & natural ingredients that truly highlight the essence of Vietnamese cuisine. Every dish felt carefully prepared & full of freshness.

Lovely servers but unfortunately food isn't up to Vietnamese standards. Maybe suitable for the local or westerners, but not suitable for the Asian taste buds, especially for the Vietnamese. We tried Ph? Special, Bò Kho with bread, & C?m S??n. Ph? meat is low quality, the broth is okay. Bò Kho doesn't taste right & using the cheap part of the beef, tough, the bread isn't French quality. C?m s??n pork chop is tough & dry. Once again, nice people but unfortunately food isn't there yet.
This restaurant doesnt have the biggest menu but whatever they make, its really tasty. The owner is quite the character! I've had excellent experience with Vietnamese food in Montréal, so I am happy to see there is quality in Quebec city as well!
The food was amazing, & the Vietnamese coffee is an absolute must-try! Everything was fresh, flavourful, & beautifully prepared. On top of that, the owner was incredibly kind & welcoming, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. I'll definitely be coming back.
