About

Honō Ramen delivers an authentic Japanese culinary experience focused on the precise craft of traditional ramen preparation. The kitchen centers its technique on rich, slow-simmered broths layered with depth and aromatic complexity. Hand-selected noodles provide the essential firm texture required to balance the intensity of house-made tare and seasoned oils. Toppings such as tender chashu pork, marinated soft-boiled eggs, and crisp nori are applied with deliberate attention to visual and flavor harmony. The interior environment emphasizes minimalist aesthetics and focused communal seating arrangements that prioritize the consumption of hot noodle bowls. Every component reflects a disciplined approach to classic Asian street food staples refined for consistent quality. This establishment maintains a rigid standard for ingredient integrity and broth viscosity across every served bowl.

First time trying this ramen spot in Quebec City, but overall it was a very pleasant experience. We were seated promptly with a reservation & catered to quickly. We both got the karaage chicken as an entree & shoyu pork ramen. Both were quite good. The karaage chicken at times felt like more breading than chicken but overall very moist chicken & very tasty! The ramen was very good, noodles cooked very well, & the broth was not too salty. The pork was a little dry but the fat was rendered nicely. We also got the cold Sake (which is not on the menu but it available) & had a nice floral undertone & it paired deliciously with the chicken & ramen. Would definitely return.

Had to satisfy a craving for ramen & was really impressed by this Michelin recommended place. Tried the vegan ramen & it was superb, chock full of vegetables, plant based protein & very flavourful. The shoyu broth was exceptionally tasty & rich. Service was prompt, professional & friendly. Highly recommended.

This is some serious Ramen, the Shoyu broth is clearly the creation of someone who really understands the craft, the noodles were firm, & the chashu was spectacular. Also, you gotta try the canned cocktails, they are fantastic. The place has a cool vibe & a very helpful staff. If I was a local I would eat here weekly, it's that food.

As someone from NYC & as someone who has spent several months in Japan, this ramen was just ok. We got the Shoyu & Miso ramens. The noodles were kind of mushy & the broth didn't have much depth of flavor. We also got karage - this was pretty good.

Main gripe is service / how long it took to make two ramens & karage - 75 minutes from when we sat down. Ramen is widely considered a fast food as the broth has to have been made earlier in the day already & the noodles just require a quick boil. Karage takes 5 minutes to deep fry. They brought the ramen out after 75 minutes & we had to wait another 10 for the karage. The waitress was apologetic on multiple occasions which was helpful, but there is clearly an issue with service management / timing with this restaurant as a whole.

I would not recommend this place unless you're just going for a casual bite to hang out or for a date; foodies beware.

The restaurant was quite full for a Monday night. The slushees, though initially I liked the flavours, were too sweet.

Pro: The pork gyoza were absolutely delicious in every way. I would go back for that & a beer with pleasure.

The most impressive thing about the experience was our waitress's incredible hair.

Other: I got the chicken teriyaki ramen - the chicken did not taste like teriyaki at all & the broth was not agreeable to me. I felt for the price there was not enough going on.

The main issue though is: After waiting for an hour for any of the food to come out, I was taken aback that they would charge for hot sauce to add to the flavourless broth. I test the quality of any restaurant by how dried out my mouth is afterward; & here it was patched, so yes too much salt.
I liked the place & I guess they are understaffed. But I was so annoyed by how long I had been waiting for the food that I did not take pleasure in eating it.
Don't understand the Michelin rating. Maybe the miso is really good.

We arrived with a reservation & were promptly seated. The dining room is small & intimate. We sat at the long, high table. The service was a little slow but the server was very kind & patient, taking time to explain dishes to us & consider our dietary restrictions. We ordered several ramens & all were excellent. The broths were velvety & flavorful & the accompanying proteins with each bowl were well prepared & on point in terms of texture & flavor. Previous reviewers had mentioned the ramen being overly salty but I didn't not notice this aspect until maybe I was down to the dregs of my bowl with no other toppings left to consume.

Fun & trendy place. Good food. Good service. I had the shio ramen & the pork was a bit dry. Not a deal breaker. The broth was rich without being heavy.

I'll start with the positives, the service was really good as well as atmosphere of the place. The food however, was really disappointing. We had a Ramen itch & it didn't scratch it at all. I got to shoyu Ramen, which after the first few bites tasted good enough cause I was hungry, but as I got to the middle of the bowl, I felt like the broth was subpar in terms of quality. My wife got the miso Ramen with salmon cutlet (which could've been our fault in retrospect) which completely disintegrated into the miso broth creating this weird lumpy, salty soup…

Maybe the izakaya next door is worth a try instead 👍🏽

Good ramen. Pork is usually my go-to when it comes to ramen, but I gave the tori paitan a try & the chicken was delicious, served in a thick, creamy broth. They offer three options of alcohol free beer, & interesting cocktails & wine. Cute spot, make sure to get a reservation!

We had the Miso + Miso Cod, Shoyu with chashu, edamame, pork dumplings, & the Yuzu- Gin cocktail. Loved everything!! Excellent ramen, flavorful broths & perfectly cooked noodles. Highly recommend.
