Delicious fusion of Indian & Québécois cuisines featuring fresh local products. Food is flavorful & creative while maintaining a spice level well in reach of the average north american. Staff is friendly & helpful, the dining room is cozy.
Only problem is that it is always full, so you will definitely need to book in advance.

Great food taste different of any Indian restaurants.
Just try out the scallop.
I have waited more than a month to write this review, to test if I still remember the flavours, & I do! I have visited the restaurant along with my wife on our way back to Halifax. We have a very critical attitude when it comes to food as it has to meet not only the taste but also be healthy & unique. We ordered some dishes that suit our South Indian taste buds & we were taken away by surprise as each one of the orders gave us more than we expected. It was ingenious to use local ingredients to substitute for the ingredients from India. For example, using Rhubarb in place of tamarind for sourness, using softened squashes with crispness to substitute for Indian crispy savoury “Tikka Chat” & making it much healthier than the original recipe, not hesitating to use rich ingredients such as cashew, were a few of those experiences. I fell in love with the palak paneer where the chef used alternative lighter cheese, taking away my hatred towards traditional paneer which is usually quite heavy. All this at a very reasonable price too.
I see a dedication to offer the best food to customers & showing respect for the Chef/Owner Raphael’s Grandad in naming the restaurant “Kundah”. I have recommended this restaurant to my friends & family members & will definitely visit it in the future when I visit Quebec City. I wish the team all the Best!

Fantastic in every way! Creative inventive menu that merges Indian cuisine with Quebec local ingredients. Great individualized service & care not seen anywhere anymore. Worth the visit!

Excellent server-friendly & knowledgeable
Food was quite delicious, every dish was different. The chicken was a little bit salty for my liking, but fine for the rest of the family. I love the concept of the Indian food with local ingredients-Quebec-Indian fusion. The booking system was good, but some of the warnings about the no show policy made me a little nervous, & a little suspicious. But I was so happy to find out once we arrived that it was ALL good! Thank you

Dining at Kundah felt like discovering a local secret & after a long day of doing the touristy stuff, this was a welcome change. As most other reviews already suggest, the food served here is NOT AUTHENTIC INDIAN food. & neither does it claim to be.
This restaurant serves Indian-inspired flavors, made entirely with local produce & products of Quebec - & boy do they impress!
We were served by Sam, one of the owners, who not only talked us through each of the vegetarian offerings in the menu but also happily shared the delightful origin story of the restaurant.
Our order included the Seabuckthorn Puri, Vada Pav, Hot sauce (so unique & definitely a good kick!), Palak Curry (featuring Cheese Curds instead of paneer!!) & Dal (made with local lentils), rice & chapati (so hot, so fresh, so yum!).
We were floored by the unique twists added to Indian recipes, the quick service & flavorful servings. 12/10 would recommend!

The best Indian food we've had in Canada & outside of India! Kudos to the chef for recreating North Indian staples with local Québécois ingredients. Highly recommend trying this one out!

Awesome place, with a nice atmosphere, great individualised service, original & very tasty food that is Indian cuisine adapted to ingredients found in Quebec. Would totally recommend & will definitely go again.
