Pathetic indian dishes. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant if you are looking for authentic Indian food. We ordered puri thought to be pani puri but it was some sort of panic poori but filled with sour fruit sauce.
Explosion of Awesome Flavors. What a wonderful gem this place is. We had the tasting menu & it was so good. Tons of flavor & lots of variety. I find with Indian food all the dishes can starting tasting the same. Not hear, such a wonderful meal!
We even had enough food for a doggie bag.
We had a fabulous meal here in late June. There were 4 of us, & we did the chef's menu with 15 dishes served over 3 courses. It was AMAZING- so much variety, so flavourful. The service was also top notch- very friendly people & took the time to explain all the dishes in detail. The ambience is good- fairly casual but well designed, not pretentious at all. Fantastic value- I'm from Vancouver, where we also have great Indian food- but a meal like this would have easily cost us double. Highly recommend!

En 2024, j'ai malheureusement eu une assez mauvaise expérience en terme de service & d'ambiance (commentaire original un peu plus bas).
Suite à mon commentaire, j'ai reçu des excuses du patron qui reconnaissait le fait que les employés sur place avaient manqué de considération & il m'a invitée à donner une seconde chance au restaurant.
Ce que j'ai fait, presque deux ans plus tard!
Nous avons été extrêmement bien accueillis, la nourriture était délicieuse, le service était impeccable.
Au delà de la très agréable soirée qu'on a eue, je trouve que cette façon de prendre soin de sa clientèle dont a fait preuve Alexandre, le patron, est exemplaire. J'ai senti qu'il tenait sincèrement à ce qu'on passe une belle soirée, il a insisté pour nous offrir des items sur le menu & ça, ça crée forcément un beau lien avec ce resto que je recommande vivement. Vive les secondes chances!

Dommage que ce resto n'offre pas le service take-out, parce que leurs plats sont savoureux, mais notre expérience sur place a été assez pénible. Musique aussi forte que si on était dans un club, sans exagération. À 22h15, alors que ça fait à peine 15 minutes qu'on a reçu notre service principal, les lumières sont allumées comme pour nous signaler que c'est le last call (première fois que je vois ça dans un resto), puis 5 minutes plus tard, elles sont allumées encore plus intensément, puis elles sont carrément éteintes. Tous les autres clients sont en train de quitter. On comprend qu'on doit quitter nous aussi, alors on mange en vitesse quelques p'tites bouchées & on part avec notre bouteille de vin. Notre serveur était ben fin, il s'est excusé à plusieurs reprises, mais le reste du staff était saoul. Je ne recommande pas 😕
We were incredibly excited to try Kundah Hôtel because of its Michelin star status, but it was a massive letdown. The food was mediocre at best & completely overpriced for the quality. To make matters worse, we found a broken piece of plastic right inside our Bharta. The chapatis were half-cooked, & the papad didn't even arrive until the very end of our meal. The only saving grace of the entire evening was the masala chai. Safe to say, the terrible taste & subpar service did not match the steep price tag. Save your money. AVOID!!!
Okay, not great. The tasting menu is probably the way to go although its probably lacking maybe one or two items to be worth the price, although some items were excellent. The butter chicken is NOT butter chicken. Its a grilled chicken leg with a butter chicken sauce on it. This isn't clear from the menu so it'd be nice if this was explained (to be fair, my party didn't speak any French & English was the server's second language so maybe this would've been better understood without the language issue). Service was good. Seating was a bit cramped & music too loud.
Was seated at the bar for 5:45 solo dining. I really dislike high top dining so that set me off at the start. The staff was friendly & the room was full by 6:30, hence putting me at the bar. I got butter chicken. Though it was acceptably tastey, it was 2 thighs on the bone served on a 5-6 inch plate w large utensils. Difficult to get the meat off of the bones in that setting. I think I paid $25 for just that dish. Given the high review scores, I was disappointed, especially when I noticed the many popular restaurants on side streets that didn't make it into my Google search.
